Anyway, there's not many 2nd hand units available but the other day checked for deals since another forumer/friend bought a new camera.

I've always had this infatuation with the GF1 but had never owned one.... hence the GX7 since its the spiritual successor.

Interesting bit of kit... its a shame that Panasonic don't support it with firmware updates like Fuji.

That firmware doesn't really do much.

Anyway, my biggest peeve is the over sensitive shutter (same like oly EMs too). Got spoiled by using soft shutter release.

Know of any sticker type soft shutter that'll fit the GX7? the button has slight convex shape to it.

how much you bought it for? last weekend i was at lowyat plaza one of the shops was selling the GX8 promo, RM3k~ get extra battery, camera case, and dunno what accessories

i just got the Oly 8mm f1.8 PRO so I was playing around with it... damn hard to find nice angles with it, but when you do... daaaamn the effect very the nice haha

and for those who are wondering if they should get the Olympus 25mm f1.2 PRO over the PanaLeica 25mm f1.4, here are the comparison photos:-

both were shot with the same camera bodies (one lens on each of my EM5's) with the same settings (1/500 secs, f1.4, ISO 640) and the RAWS were treated to the same temperature, tint and exposure on Lightroom

I don't like the lighting of both the photos. It makes the cheeks shadow around her mouth too distracting.

At exchange these days doesn't sound like much.... TWD9.8K which is almost RM1.4K these days.

Anyway..wanted an EVF for m43 but didn't like the GX8 or GX85

then i blame the lighting on the hotel's ceiling lights lol.

ah ok half price of a new GX85 la... good good

i waiting for the Pen-F to drop price instead, since EM1mk2 so damn expensive

Not really.. GX85 body only can be had for NT15K but I prefer the GX7.

Only thing still annoying me is the shutter button... paid RM72 for this tiny piece of hand painted in korea brass

wah GX85 so cheap in Taiwan... but yeah the GX7 viewfinder much more flexible compared to the GX85... though I didn't try their shutter buttons before

Not really the EVF but the feel on hand. Maybe its the grip.

On the shutter button, my issue is the lack of "feel" ie the very short travel between finger-on-shutter to half press to shutter release.

Its the same on the Oly EM as well. I know its bad form to use half press to lock AF but its a habit... and I keep ter-release the shutter.

i don't have that issue with my EM5mk1 though... the button feel was very solid, since i also half press all the time haha
