QUOTE(ken_zie @ Nov 22 2016, 11:02 PM) Photography noob here. Just wondering if all experts have any recommendations for cheap wide angle lens for Olympus EPL7? Below RM500 can get a used wide angle lens? Below RM500, you can get those kit lens, maybe 12-50mm, see if anyone selling.Wow, EM-1 II around RM8k for body... That's frigging expensive. Can get Canon 6D. I have a Olympus 9-18mm f4-5.6 if you want a real wide angle. But I'm selling it at around RM1.6k. This post has been edited by Nogol: Dec 2 2016, 07:54 PM |

Do you guys carry your M43 camera almost anywhere you go? When I bought my EM5, I thought I will bring it everywhere, but now I'm looking for something more compact, like Sony RX100 V or Canon G7X II.

I don't like the lighting of both the photos. It makes the cheeks shadow around her mouth too distracting.

anyone use their m43 cam for both photo and video purposes?
I've been using my Olympus EM-5 for few years now, recently got a chance to play with my friend's Sony A7ii for event shooting, and I got the itch to upgrade my camera, or jumpship to Full Frame, or save enough money to keep my m43 system and get FF system. Botak_wai, problem with some higher end m43 camera is they're too expensive, I could get a FF (A7ii) with that price. But then I also have to consider about the cost of buying lenses when I buy a FF camera.
Huislaw, I notice the footage got a bit wobbly, did you apply stalization in post production? Or is it IBIS causing this? It's around 0:42 when your camera shoots the floor. Jomblang cave https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eKezlbUozhk Sometimes I notice this problem in my EM5 video. Also my EM5 don't have higher FPS for video. Now em5ii around rm2.6k, I'm thinking to buy it. But it's probably not a significant upgrade from my EM5. |

Ah, I seldom do photowalks or street photography. I like the one on the beca.
While looking at specs of G85 as incubus_skj suggested, I also looked at the G9 specs, which has a lot of interesting features. I think I will aim at G9 instead of going to Sony full frame. I already have quite a few m43 lens, and FF camera lens are bigger and heavier. M43 probably is not as good as FF in low light, high ISO, but a good body and good lens probably can compensate that low light problem. |

My em5 difficult to sell, got scratch marks all over the body, especially the corners. silver paint when come off will show black base. anyway, saving up money to buy Panasonic G9. maybe have to wait for few years only can get a cheaper price.

I have not try both cameras personally, but if you have the money, just buy the EM1ii la.
EM1ii got 4k video, em5ii don't have. Em1ii got 20megapixel, em5ii got 16megapixel. But personally, I'm going to choose Panasonic G9 because the video has more FPS. This post has been edited by Nogol: Nov 25 2018, 04:27 PM |

For me, I prefer weatherproof. It gives me a peace of mind when it's raining, or when I bring it out to the beach, or on a boat ride. But you'll need a weatherproof lens to go with the body for the full weatherproof thing.
I usually pair my EM5 (Mark 1) with the 12-50mm kit lens which is weatherproof, when I go to the beach, or on boat rides. EM5ii screen can flip out, EM10iii screen can only tilt. My computer can't edit in 4K, so, the 4k on em10iii doesn't really benefit me in video editing. This post has been edited by Nogol: Dec 3 2018, 10:58 AM |

anyone interested to buy my whole set of m43? Olympus EM5 mk1, and bunch of lens. I'm not sure what's the price now, but it will be great if someone take the whole set from me.
