How much you paid for the 100-400? Is the price reasonable?

I got the same 15/1.7 and yes, it's always on my gx8 all the time now. thumbup.gif

BTW nice pics there rclxms.gif

Whoa rm6k for the lens? Do you think this is reasonable?

Ya the 12/1.4 is a killa! How much they sell?

Well I shoot events and my Pana 35-100mm doesn't always zoom as far as I want it to when I need to shoot close ups of the stage area or some sniping shots, for example (especially since the General Election is just around the corner)

And seeing that an Oly 40-150mm (extra 50mm) costs around the same price, and the Oly 300mm costs 11-12k.. it's a steal for me already, considering that the G85 handles very well even in 1600 and 3200 ISO

Cant remember the price for the 12mm but it was around 4k iirc

Look at the size of that bazooka biggrin.gif although consider tiny next to DSLR's bazooka tongue.gif
How is the weight and handling ?

Oly 40-150 pro + teleconverter ( 56-210 ) about 6K already.

Imagine if Panasonic have native teleconverter ( I recall they dont have ) with 100-400 biggrin.gif

If I havent get Olympus 40-150 pro, and with lots of cash, the Oly 12-100 + Pana 100-400 can tabao almost all focal needed whistling.gif

Sounds like the 100-400's price is acceptable considering Oly 300mm, which of course is a prime and being so they are much costlier for obvious reasons. Can't compare them though except buying the 100-400 for it's reach.

damn heavy and it makes the camera body feel unbalanced... now asking the shop to help me order the battery grip for the G85

yeah for events i'd prefer the reach and flexibility of a 100-400 than a 300mm prime. at least with the new bodies nowadays their high ISO/high shutter can take decently-not-so-much-noise photos liao lah

Panasonic gh5 is finally announced. And estimate shipping March or April. Can't wait to see it's iso performance.

1080p at 180 fps. And 4k 60fps. 422 internal. Looking good. If it does decent in low light then it might be the perfect video making machine.

don't know how much they going to sell in RM though, although it's the same price with the EM1mk2 in the US

Haiz, cant upgrade body at all, EM1 II too expensive ( I'll pay that price tag if ISO performance and dynamic range are on full frame level ), cant go Panasonic as all my lens Olympus ( cant take advantage of Panny's dual I.S ) cry.gif

lucky for me the only Olympus lens i have left are the 75mm and 8mm f1.8

the rest of my other lenses are Panasonics... so I can't wait to fully transition to the economical G85 laugh.gif

I have also moved 100% to Panasonic to take advantage of the dual-IS thing but mind you, not all are compatible doh.gif

Here's the list of compatible lenses, might not be the latest list, all latest lenses should support dual is like the 100-400

That's why. If other way round, any lens even manual lens are possible to utilize IS on Olympus body.
