Check the air vent near the door, the whole panel just pulls off but takes a bit of force, then put a smear of silicone lube on the rubbing surfaces and hope that it was the problem.

any pictures? I thought it related near engine area

Attached Image

I use a brake spring puller to remove it.

Attached Image

I smear a bit of silicone lube on the contact surfaces.
I noticed the vent in this had broken when I removed it this morning, the second one of Daisy's to break, so I suppose I'll have to order another one.
I had a noisy rattle in Daisy a long time ago on the driver's side and if memory serves me rightly doing this to the RH vent surround fixed it, it's kind of hard to believe.

Just now my Saga FLX SV CVT battery (dry battery) died. The battery last about 3 years. The new battery cost about RM320+. But, I want to share info with you guys about car that use CVT gearbox:

1. You cannot jump start a car that uses CVT gearbox. Yes, you can jumpstart, but there will be consequences 2-3 month later, like your car cannot start. The mechanic says, jump starting a car that uses CVT gearbox can damage the electronic component especially the CVT gearbox.

2. You cannot use wet battery on a car that uses CVT gear box. The electronic component are very sensitive.

3. Proton dry battery only last about 2-3 year before you change into new one.

Huhu...cvt auto car are expensive to maintain compare to manual ones huhu.

Oh yeah, I want to ask something. When I reach 40k mileage, do I need to change the CVT transmission oil because my local service center (Kota Kinabalu) says you need to change once you've reach 60k mileage. But when I go to other service center, they say change at 40k mileage. My car mileage now almost reach 40k. So, Im confused. I've check the manual. It says 40k for severe usage and 60k for normal usage. I don't know, I must've read wrong or im stupid tongue.gif haha.

Bros all..

Just want to inquiry and ask, lately my saga encounter some hissing sound coming from the aircond. Is there any fault of it? Still cooler until now. Never refill any gas or service the aircond before- only clean the filter.

Any1 can clarify?

Thanks.

Ori IAFM spoilt, runner screw broken.

Went to change the new one @ 17/Oct @ Proton SC, RM600+ damage, but got lemon unit. Emit knocking noise at the same day. Part didn't come with 'QA accept' blue sticker.

Went back @ 24/Oct, change to 2nd new unit. Again lemon unit. Emit knocking noise as well. Part didn't come with 'QA accept' blue sticker too.

Went back @ last Friday, claim warranty again and change the 3rd unit this time. Part come with 'QA accept' blue sticker dated Aug 2016. Problem solve and my engine noise is like new engine now.

Farking SC wasting my time, dismantle the wiring and alot of stuffs for whole 3 times which potentially could loosen the part connectivity. I suspect the 1st 2 units are the old stock unit which produced pre-2010/11. If i remember correctly the IAFM with blue QA sticker came out together with Saga FL last time, not much IAFM knocking noise issue since then.

So for those who are going to change IAFM please take note of my nightmare experience. (i doubt still have ppl watching this thread)

Anyone change central lock for BLM? It's 7 years now and 2 of the left front and back passenger doors refuse to lock when using remote. How much does it cost, and any recommendation?

Just some topup for my IAFM issue.

My car is 7th year now, total mileage 162k. The original IAFM start to sound rough and some faint knocking around 20k mileage, so i just ignore it since the performance is not impair. Until half year ago the runner selector screw broken and emit crak crak noise which is similar to bearing noise (don't even know is IAFM problem until a week before i change), been heard this noise in few Saga BLM around the same age.

After change i can exactly feel the huge different in performance in the low end power, before that the car just felt won't accelerate even you floor the pedal in 1st gear from standstill. I gain mileage per tank as well (additional 50km per full tank) after change. Previosly the screw broken just left a hole from the runner side which pull the air directly from outside to the intake manifold without passing through the throttlebody explain why i loss huge amount of power.
