Oh yeah, I want to ask something. When I reach 40k mileage, do I need to change the CVT transmission oil because my local service center (Kota Kinabalu) says you need to change once you've reach 60k mileage. But when I go to other service center, they say change at 40k mileage. My car mileage now almost reach 40k. So, Im confused. I've check the manual. It says 40k for severe usage and 60k for normal usage. I don't know, I must've read wrong or im stupid tongue.gif haha.

[attachmentid=7723124]

I use a brake spring puller to remove it.

[attachmentid=7723125]

I smear a bit of silicone lube on the contact surfaces.
I noticed the vent in this had broken when I removed it this morning, the second one of Daisy's to break, so I suppose I'll have to order another one.
I had a noisy rattle in Daisy a long time ago on the driver's side and if memory serves me rightly doing this to the RH vent surround fixed it, it's kind of hard to believe.

my car also got similar rattling noise on the left dashboard.. and also driver side B pillar.. its annoying me alot but only happen once in awhile when drive slow..

My rear lamp was broken due to hit & run by a motorcyclist on a highway.

Anyone knows how much is the market rate to replace the rear lamp? for 1 side only.

I checked online and found the price range varies from 160++ ~ 500 rclxub.gif

Flush all or not, it's up 2 u.
But how dirty is the cvt oil?
Or they are trying to sell more cvt oil tongue.gif

At the end of the day, it's up to u to review.
As for me, if I have more money, yes, will do total flush.

my wife's car also got hit & run by a motorcycle so I already ask 'bawah pokok' workshop and do online survey about this yesterday..
from what I know, local rear lamp will cost u around RM150 - RM250 each and for original proton rear lamp it will cost u +-RM400 each...
but i recommend my wife to buy aftermarket rear lamp which is will cost her less than RM500 for 1 pair... at least looks better with light bar instead of normal led type...

Just now my Saga FLX SV CVT battery (dry battery) died. The battery last about 3 years. The new battery cost about RM320+. But, I want to share info with you guys about car that use CVT gearbox:

1. You cannot jump start a car that uses CVT gearbox. Yes, you can jumpstart, but there will be consequences 2-3 month later, like your car cannot start. The mechanic says, jump starting a car that uses CVT gearbox can damage the electronic component especially the CVT gearbox.

2. You cannot use wet battery on a car that uses CVT gear box. The electronic component are very sensitive.

3. Proton dry battery only last about 2-3 year before you change into new one.

Huhu...cvt auto car are expensive to maintain compare to manual ones huhu.

Could you share with us where you got that fact from? I'm thinking of using wet batteries for my car once my current MF battery has no more life left.

Holy*hit. I just jump-started my car a few days ago. My wife left my car with headlamps on. Sigh. So what to do? Change to a new battery right away? My car same as yours.

Btw, regarding engine lubricant. my car engine vibrate quite a bit when the engine reach 2000 rpm. The vibration get worse when the weather is cold (early morning, at night, even worst in the rain). By worse i mean i can feel the engine does not running smoothly. During the day, especially sunny day, the engine is running smoothly. What's the cause of that?

i am thinking to change the engine oil to petronas syntium 7000 0w-40. is it overkill?

currently i am using bhp syngard 8000 5w-40.

Saga to a saga?

Why not the new persona?

If budget is the limiting factor, used iriz might be worth considering
