Hey guys... I am perplexed between these four cars now

1) Honda Civic 1.8
2) Civic 1.5T Low & High Spec
4) Mazda 3 Low & High Spec
5) CX3

Only holdback for the Civic 1.5T is the potential turbo problem, was it a initial manufacturing defect or a hit and miss thing... I will be using this car mainly for daily commute to work to the city centre...

1.5T high spec is just for the LED lights right & 2 zones aircond.. Is it worth that premium?

I am pretty happy with my cx5 2.5 at the moment, hence the consideration for mazda...

Why are you downgrading your car from CX 5 2.5 to these 4? Just stay with it if you're happy with it.

cx-5 SUV to C Segment? hmm.gif

If you ask in Civic forum, definitely people will ask you to go for Civic. Same goes with the Mazda etc. Have you test driven those cars? What do you want from these options? Space? FC? Sportiness?

Already enough SUV at home ma.. biggrin.gif

Space is not really a concern for me, Civic is more spacious but low seating position, mazda 3 is less spacious but better for old people getting out the car...

But looks wise, i prefer civic...

I have yet to test drive properly both cars la, only during launching, just tested for fun...

One of my concern of Honda Malaysia is their welding quality that IMO looks bad..

no car is perfect. If space is not a concern, then perhaps you should look at M3 high spec. They just recently launch the FL version. Looks wise, both M3 and Civic has it's own strong points. But on spec wise, M3 seems to be a tad better. In terms of NVH, I believe Civic is better than M3.

Bro, better go test drive both. All cars have their pros and cons. I settled on TC-P and never regretted having it. Yes there are a few niggling QA issues, but lemme know if you get a car which does not have any issues at all.

True true, even the CX5 lower arm bush still squeeks after replacement, also still not resolved, but live with it now

PDR only for metal parts... if bumper ABS... maybe try the "hot water" method? Not sure if it would work or not. Google around for it, seen some very severe dents on the bumper, put hot water it pops back out laugh.gif

Not gonna hide the truth, with little 'hack' current mazda 3 can also enjoy Android Auto.
Android Auto it's gonna be in new up coming cars, like hyundai ionic gonna have it. Soon every car will have these feature.

P.S. i still can't find hack for our civic native app installation on our HU.

Icic... That's good to know, so it kinda make the mazda 3 infotainment more on the fair ground then... Cant wait to give both cars a thorough test drive

Aha.... I better drive both then, may end up getting the civic to have different brands, but the mazda triumphs in the safety suite, i.e. RVM, Auto City Brake etc.

Using Spotify on Apple Carplay but sometimes I can't increase or decrease the volume of it on the steering wheel panel and also touch screen panel. It shows the volume level going up and down but the sound level is still the same. Any idea why?

Anyone know how to set auto headlight do not AUTO, and can be manually turn on & off?

Can only manually on or set auto. Cannot manually off. So no choice have to set Auto all the time.
Mine the same. sometime that kind of sound especially hot day. I just ignore..not an issue  biggrin.gif

I don't think we can set the auto headlight to manual, but you can turn it off by turn down your lightning switch from auto to off position then the DRL and headlight will turn off. another way is when your small beam / light is turn on automatically, switch the light switch to small beam position (turn up one level) then the small beam will be turn off and the DRL remain, BUT even though you can see the light indicator is on at your instrument cluster, but your small beam / light is off only DRL is on.

The volume somehow goes to the navigation volume. If you look carefully the volume is between 0-11. My car is 1.5 TC and have this problem too. Noticed that this usually happens if you use Car Play with Waze on. Somehow the HU goes to the navigation volume although it does. It have Navigation.

Only workaround is to unplug and reconnect iPhone. It should be ok again. If this happens, switching off and turning on the iPhone again usually solves the problem.

For me if I don't turn on Waze while on CarPlay, I won't get this problem.
