hi, did anyone had issue on rear heater? mine will auto off maybe about 10 minutes although it still rainy.
*
I thought it's the same as any other car - the rear demister will turn off automatically once the condensation has been removed - around 10 minutes yes.

Pls  not to be confused with rebate u got from SE ranging between RM1k to RM2K.  It's the deductions of SE commission. I got RM2,500 in the past for my City. It's not discount from dealer.
Current promotion by Honda exclude Civic as it's still a best seller.
Take note.
*
Correct. SA are competing against each other for sales - People will always choose SA who give more discount for the same car.

QUOTE(Jeff_lwh @ Sep 7 2016, 09:48 AM)
I not only cannot get loan for the Civic 1.5TC, GOT insulted by the banker.  Said with your income can only get 60k car.
Attempted 100k loan for 9 years
*
Another thing is the PTPTN loan thingy - I settled my PTPTN loan just to get this Civic LOL! You should also try from other banks bro, I got my loan from Affin Bank after 2 previous cars from Maybank coz they insulted me verbally too. Not to mention that they arrogantly remain steadfast not wanting to lowering their interest rate.

QUOTE(dirtrun @ Sep 7 2016, 09:53 AM)
I wouldnt call it an INSULT.. more like reality check.. biggrin.gif
Editted to add BTW.. Singapore is worse now.. I heard its like 50% down only can buy car.. or sumting like tat..
*
Singapore has always been like that for a few years bro. They don't want vehicles on the road - forcing people to use public transportation. IINM minimum downpayment is 40% and maximum loan tenure is 5 years rclxub.gif

Now relaxed dy
*
You're right. 30% downpayment and 7 years loan - like my current car loan lol! If Malaysia does this, 80% of the cars on the road will be P1 & P2 biggrin.gif

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Sep 7 2016, 10:18 AM)
ya lucky I one shot settled early this year as well

my nephew Honda jazz loan rejected  due to outstanding

Lucky too coz my loan interest rate is lower than what it would be earlier this year.

I had booking for Honda civic 1.8 from 20 August ,. Now only SA told me Honda are delay and the car will reach the sc on 25 Sept ..... Zzzz anyone facing same issue ?
*
1 month still considered ok bro. Some people have been waiting for 3 months - I'm guessing it's the dealer's issue coz other dealers are handing the cars out like candy.

Thank you very much. Yea no tint yet. My sales person didn't really gave me a good deal on the rebate, only in-house tint with 500 ringgit value. I dare not use it. Waiting to bring back the car to KL next week and install good tint. Instead she installed door visor and illuminate door side step (not OEM). Overall im satisfied.  nod.gif  nod.gif  nod.gif

That's still great bro. Didn't get anything from my SA since I'm one of the first batch...

Didn't notice any sound. What does it sound like? Rattling sounds? If it's annoying you, just go to the SC to complaint.

QUOTE(dirtrun @ Sep 8 2016, 11:04 AM)
There is a light stalk that has an off switch - but is spring loaded so its on auto again after each start/stop..
*
You can turn it to off, but it will only turn off if it's in the park position.

QUOTE(ck.chunkeat @ Sep 8 2016, 11:14 AM)
Yes, i turn the knob downwards to off. My previous car with auto light also had the off switch implemented this way. But for some reason, my civic light doesn't off at all no matter how many times i turn it downwards to off (with the spring, it will return to auto position again)

Is my light faulty?
*
Normal. No way to turn off your lights permanently - you can turn the light switch to side lights only, but your rear lights and side markers will also turn on. DRL will be the side lights but dimmer. Any reason why you're so hard up in turning off your lights? It's not bothering anyone anyway.

The reason why it turns on is because the ambient lights are not bright enough, thus necessitating the headlights to be turned on. Unless of course, you put on super dark tints, so your auto headlights will be on 99.9% of the time! LOL!

Is it me or does the new accord mia depan looks a bit like civic?
*
Yeah bro. I think it's the Honda design language - started in 2013

http://world.honda.com/design/designers-talk/fit/page2/

Not to mention those LED headlights are very similar to the Civic laugh.gif

QUOTE(ck.chunkeat @ Sep 8 2016, 11:29 AM)
Ok, suspected that to be the case. So the off function only works when the car is in P position?

Well, sometimes i just don't feel like turning on the lights. For example, i was driving yesterday around evening but it wasn't too bright but its definitely not dark. I'm the only car on the road with the lights on. sweat.gif  Guess I'll have to live with it smile.gif
*
I understand what you mean - sometimes the sensor goes wonky and takes a while before turning off the lights. Yeah, the lights off switch will only work when in park position, and not while driving (found this out a few days after I got my car). I think this is also a safety feature - no one will forget to turn on the lights, and other cars will definitely see you on the road biggrin.gif

Guide is in the FAQ. Do vary your vehicle speed and engine speeds when you're driving long distance.

1st few fuel tanks will have bad FC - this is normal.

Sifu isr25,

Do you have link on the installation of modulo bodykit (front, rear, under & trunk spoiler) and door visor?

Someone said mileage 1000km in a week just now. Took my car on 22/8 and did my 1st service 30/8. My previous car 3 years 4 months and last mileage during handover at 184000km..hahaha.
*
not sifu la, but I do read a bit on Civic X tongue.gif

as requested : https://estore.honda.com/honda/accessories/...ame=Civic+Sedan

Not modulo though, but I think the installation procedure would be the same. What do you do bro? Travel like 4,600KM / month shocking.gif

I think I'm pressing the brake. The car jerked when it was going to stop. Anyway, i guess i shouldn't use auto brake hold during traffic jam.
*
You need to train your foot - press brake firmly until the car stops, then only release your foot. If you release your foot before the car complete stops (about 0-1km/h) then the system wouldn't know to stop or go, hence the jerking.

Ok, thanks bro. Will keep that in mind when using the auto brake hold.

After the first time the jerking happens. I tend to press harder on the brake to make sure the auto brake hold light is on before i remove my leg from the brake pedal.

On a side note, anyone notice any problem with cruising at high speed?
http://www.civicx.com/threads/cvt-surging-up-and-down.1269/

Seems like its a common problem. Will have to test it out whether my car have this problem,
*
If you read the thread til the end, Honda already fixed it a long time ago, before even launching the Civic on our shores. So no worries there smile.gif

Planning to get my car tinted...a small question here...as i remember, JPJ compliant is 70% VLT for front and 50% for the rest...so even if i take llumar diamond, which has a VLT of 63%, it is not JPJ compliant?
*
They say it's compliant. If JPJ were to summon you, they will settle the summons for you. However, if you go for PUSPAKOM check to transfer the car ownership, they will not cover it.

Anyway the new guidelines are 70% windscreen, 50% front side windows, 25% rear side windows and rear screen.

My car was hit from behind by a Kancil at the Elite highway on Friday evening sad.gif damage was not so bad, but still need to go for a checkup tomorrow - knock and respray I guess. Hopefully no internal damage

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Sep 12 2016, 11:49 PM)
Wahkancil tailgate u?
*
Nope. Happened during traffic jam. The sister (original driver) got out of the car to change drivers as she got tired. The brother just scooted over from the passenger seat to the driver side and accidently pressed the accelerator.

Imagine my surprise when the kancil hit the back of my car and I saw on the rear view mirror that the brother in the middle of the driver + passenger seats and a lady was standing outside of the driver door.

Seriously - I cannot brain this chain of events...

1. Passenger was lazy to get out of the car to change driver.
2. The driver didn't put the car on neutral when getting out of her car.
3. Changed drivers while on the "overtaking/fast lane" - even if it was during a standstill, it's still wrong.

Just my bad luck, I guess...

On a side note, I was on brake hold at the time - it performed admirably, the car only moved forward slightly - I didn't hit the car in front of me biggrin.gif

Sad to hear that bro. Good thing it's minor accident and nobody gets hurt.
Just need to spend time to repair. Hopefully that person is paying for the inspection/damage.
*
No worries bro. It was just my luck that it happened to me while I was driving up to KL, but as you rightly mentioned, luckily it is only minor damage. The biggest damage was the feeling of a dagger straight through my heart when it happened cry.gif

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Sep 13 2016, 10:35 AM)
Not so friendly during heavy traffic
*
It is very useful - just that you shouldn't inch forward. Need to give a slightly bigger gap for you to move forward and stop again without the juddering (system is confused whether to stop or go). Although by leaving a slightly bigger gap, it will give an opportunity for a car in another lane to cut in front of you smile.gif

Brothers.

I need honest answer.

Is 1.5TCP got over heat issue?

I keep hearing people saying this and they say I should sit in service centre whole day to verify it.
*
I only heard 1 case in Malaysia - the fan stopped working. If the fan stopped working, even the 1.8 will have overheating problems. So far it's only that one case - so no, no widespread issues of overheating. Some people are accusing like almost all 1.5TC engine cars have overheating issues lol!
