i have this balanced fund RHB Islamic Regional instead, to pair with my CIMB APDI
This fund has a bigger exposure towards lower region of Asia, mainly Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines.
Having it since September last year, it has been tanking till recently, around 3months ago, starts giving more profits
ROI is at 3.65% since i bought it, dca monthly for first 6 months then i leave it, no top up since the last dca
is currently at 7% of my portfolio, ya i know the return is not much, but the reason i bought it was to have a bigger exposure on the lower region of Asia, specifically on Indonesia

On the bond side, it has some exposure in Asia bonds, and i pair it with RHB EM bond which i bought just 3 months ago
*
But it is quite heavy on Malaysia exposure tongue.gif

Is it your preference on islamic compliance or SEA bond exposure? smile.gif

Here's my 6month old portfolio fund allocation. I'd pefer slightly heavy bias towards foreign exposure.
Any suggestions/comment welcomed.

Now /Target /Fund Name
15% / 20% / CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund
21% / 20% / CIMB-Principal Global Titans Fund
20% / 20% / Kenanga Growth Fund

just let it ride for sometimes and review how it goes during mkt corrections....
maybe one risk appetite may change....trade off for a better sleep.

Its highest 2 holdings are UNITED ASIAN BOND FUND and UNITED EMERGING MARKETS BOND
FUND, both USD class, which are the target fund for RHB ATR and RHB EMBF respectively. smile.gif

Holding MBB and CIMB bonds smile.gif

Seems this equity exposed bond (was it similar with amdynamic bond) got potential, but its quite new smile.gif

I think these are consider high risk category, are you?  smile.gif

Do you invest one shot and DCA when time comes, or periodically top up?  smile.gif

All in 1 shot. Until now returns are reasonable except for REITs and RHB AIF.
Will do top up when time comes....

Yup, it has been consistently exposed to Malaysia at around 1/3 of the fund, i aim to maintain this fund less than 10%, because i only have Kenanga Growth and RHB Islamic Bond + Libra Asnita, just nice i guess wink.gif
Is it your preference on islamic compliance or SEA bond exposure?  smile.gif
Nope I dont really care Islamic compliant or not ;p As long I happy with the return then good fund lor, but now not so happy ;( so lets see how it perform

Sorry for making things complicated. I meant to say small investments, even though % return is big, the return is still small lar. And so it's a waste. wink.gif

If you can stomach the volatility and all for return, I may suggest either APDIF or affin quantum, both not bad and have some SEA exposure like thailand, philipines and indonesia smile.gif

Or if you want, I may suggest RHB Indonesia Equity fund smile.gif

I don't know what to call that for RHB AIF, since August 1, it has not been gaining much. That's been 2 months already, not two weeks.

I think i belong to the conservative side, but i have 1 high risk fund, rhb china india dynamic, since January last year, 7.5% in pfolio, okla im comfortable with it now, so thats my limit smile.gif my bond holdings is at 40% hahah

Im done with Asia, don't think will add more fund, also done with single country fund, got KGF enough d, actually that China-India i also consider as single country fund, so i just play with the allocation for now smile.gif

Put it this way -

If u prefer to have a Fund Manager juggle the split between bonds and equities for u, go for RHB AIF.

If u prefer to juggle it on your own, take CIMB + RHB Asian Total Return.
*
Look at these graphs please :-

Attached Image

Attached Image

These graphs show the shape of Cimb Ponzi 2.0 has insignificant impact to rhb aif. The graph of rhb aif always follows the shape of rhb atr. Eg, lately when Ponzi 2.0 goes up shapely, and rhb aif still goes down to follow the down trend of rhb atr ( graph 1).

If the equity portion of rhb aif is the same composition as Ponzi 2.0, then I would say that equity portion is insignificantly small. So small until negligible.

If u have positive ROI there's no way u could get negative IRR. Something is wrong.

When you are profiting, u could have low IRR, but never negative IRR.
*
Finally i figured out the prob!
I put in the amount for dividen (actually just put in units then enough) cry.gif

Kenanga Growth IRR 7.68
Eastspring Small Cap IRR 3.42
Eastspring Equity Income IRR 11.79
CIMB Asia Pacific Dynamic Income IRR 36.65
CIMB Global Titans IRR 15.96

Hope that i din't calculated wrong this time. Check every single details since one hour ago , hahaha!
Just start my investment Dec of 2016, those CIMB funds started on May 2016, so quite lucky to bought for lower prices. But din't make much portion in my portfolio, now extremely regret that din top up much dry.gif
