hello all, i'm heading to japan and most probably it will be snowing at that time.
any tips on how to handle the camera... in particular to avoid condensation (due to the different temperature)? and also the battery? i did some reading online and aware that the battery will drain quite fast in -ve temperature. any tips? btw, i'm using X-T10 with kit lens and 35mm f1.4. thank you in advance |

Due to indoor with heater, before go in put your gadget inside your bag to avoid moisture. Extra battery, yes please any tips on how to handle the camera... in particular to avoid condensation (due to the different temperature)? and also the battery? i did some reading online and aware that the battery will drain quite fast in -ve temperature. any tips? btw, i'm using X-T10 with kit lens and 35mm f1.4. thank you in advance |

QUOTE(kelvinling @ Nov 20 2016, 01:45 PM) Thanks kelvinling So far I see that MARUMI has these 2 filters: 1. MARUMI 40mm UV Filter - https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B0083SS...d=AN1VRQENFRJN5 2. MARUMI 40mm DHG - http://www.lelong.com.my/marumi-dhg-lens-p...7-01-Sale-I.htm The first one is cheaper, since I'm going to Japan soon, but I'm not sure how to compare both of these filters. It seems like DHG is better? |

Called a camera shop today and was told that cashback promotion will be back in December... that is like 1 week plus away... so that is the good news... but the bad news is.... potentially there will be a price hike as well... probably 15% region..... so..... i don't hope the cashback will really offset the price increase more....
Sigh.... |

Anyone here switched from 35 1.4 to 35 2? Or the other way round?
Keep hearing about how magical 35 1.4 is My current plan is to get a 35. Then proceed with 56 and 16/1024zoom This post has been edited by QiAnG: Nov 23 2016, 05:41 PM |

Ever consider 23mm and 56mm combo instead?
Else 35mm and 56mm like quite close... previously when I use Nikon... i did use 50mm and 35mm.... end up with just 35mm all the way.... just my opinion... like to hear your thoughts as well..... with 23mm and 56mm combo... u can use 56 for portrait and 23 as main walkabout lens... Never really clicked with the 35mm fl. Preferred 50mm for my walkaround and daily lens.Else 35mm and 56mm like quite close... previously when I use Nikon... i did use 50mm and 35mm.... end up with just 35mm all the way.... just my opinion... like to hear your thoughts as well..... with 23mm and 56mm combo... u can use 56 for portrait and 23 as main walkabout lens... I like to go wide all the way when im using wide angle. So I'm going to go with 1024/14/16 35 and 56. Thanks for the suggestion too This post has been edited by QiAnG: Nov 24 2016, 09:57 AM |
