Eh, question regarding fungus. Would it be harder for fungus to grow in the WR lenses or body since it is weather resistant hence preventing moisture from entering the camera/lens?

Hey all. I'm just starting learning photography and in interested to buy a camera. But I'm not sure between x-t1 or x-t10. Maybe can get some info from here which 1 is the best for me. My usage is usually when I'm traveling. Maybe can get some rest recommendation on the best lens as well.

QUOTE(xcstacy @ Nov 15 2016, 11:06 PM) Hi bros, avid Nikon shooter here but thinking of switching to the new xt2. I have asked so many places but they told me it's out of stock. Does anybody know where I can purchase one and also is it worth getting the kit lens? I shoot street and travel photography mainly. Thanks a lot. Our bro kelvinling sold camera at his store, check with him As for the kit lens, it depends if u want it or not. For me, prefer go with prime lens on the get go QUOTE(zkinkongz @ Nov 16 2016, 09:13 AM) Hi, thinking of getting x-t10 to venture into photography xP! Which lenses would be a better choice ar if I mostly shoot for travel, street, food and portraits and possible landscape. Go for the kit lens, later then look for the prime lenses. There's a versatility in zoom lens for beginner. Once u get to know the limitations of the lens then that is the time to move on to the next lens.23mm f2 35mm f2 18-55mm If I want a prime lens combo, I would go for Samyang 12mm f2 for wide angle shot (Manual focus lens, maybe bad for beginner QUOTE(kokmengng @ Nov 16 2016, 10:32 AM) Eh, question regarding fungus. About the WR property, not sure if it will prevent fungus. But I guess it should be unless u submerge it in the water and let the water in Maybe can share how u guys keep you gears away from fungus. |

There's no difference between xt1 & xt10 in terms of image quality. You only lose the Weather sealing and less external button to play with You can bring along some prime lens for your traveling. Not sure about the best lens to buy, I bought 23mm f1.4 and 56mm f1.2 because their of shallower depth of field & the ability to used lower ISO on certain situations. I will rely on both of the lenses when I travel. 56mm only when I want to take specific potrait and the 23mm will always be on the camera for street photography. I'm adding samyang 12mm to my lens collection for that wide angle shot for group photo or landscape. |

Irregardless of whether the lens is WR or not, it's still important to take good care of it. Especially considering that Fuji lens can't be repaired by technicians and must be sent back to Fujifilm to get the fungus cleaned. So please take good care of your lens!Maybe can share how u guys keep you gears away from fungus. |

Higher risk of getting fungus.... although if you occasionally takes it out for photoshoot at outdoor and exposed to sunlight... i think low risk of fungus... not sure anyone else can confirm this...

Would it be harder for fungus to grow in the WR lenses or body since it is weather resistant hence preventing moisture from entering the camera/lens? You can find a tightly closed container & put a piece of the dehumidifier (as per the link below) into it. Maybe can share how u guys keep you gears away from fungus. https://www.rosepharmacy.com/product/guardi...avender-3x720g/ 1. Base on experience, you might be able to achieve humidity of approximately 45% by half open the seal ontop of the dehumidifier (for container approx 1'(W) x1.5' (L) x1' (H). 2. Get a hygrometer to monitor the humidity inside the container. Combine 1&2 to get yourself a cheap & practical dry box! Anyhow, better safe than sorry |

So I am getting a proper dry cabinet instead. Found some affordable ones priced between 400-500. Brands such as Aipo, Eureka & Digi-Cabi. I prefer the Aipo. 😊https://www.rosepharmacy.com/product/guardi...avender-3x720g/ 1. Aipo looks more established & reliable to me in term of their patented technology & company profile. The new model with blue LED caught my eyes. AIPO AP 38 EX |

Can always go for bigger size dry cabinet so that you don't have to upgrade in the future.
