Does anybody have any idea whether the camera stores in Malaysia already have ready stocks for the X-T2 and the EF-X500? Preferably Fotokem or any store with 2 years installment plan for Maybank CC.

Both can be ordered from Shashinki (as well as the new boost grip) as I checked just now.

Just wondering, does your shop accepts Maybank CC installment plans? If yes, what is the longest period?

Guys... has anyone not yet get the fujifilm cashrebate? I bought 2 lens and it is almost 2 months with no reply from them? is this normal?
*
I got my rebate for 35mm f2 already from Fujifilm. They deposited the cheque into my account and emailed me the receipt. I think it took about 5-6 weeks for me, can't really remember but it was quite LONG.

Maybe you should call them?

Hey guys, thought it's be useful to share here about this CHEAP variable ND filter that I just bought and tried. Recommended for beginners (like me) to extend your creativity, also to explore and play around with VND before going for the high-end ones thumbup.gif

I bought it for RM70 from here for my 56mm: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2770214

SOOC JPEG (provia):
- shutter speed 1/2000 (sun was very bright!)
- wide open, f1.2
- ISO 200

You can actually use Electronic Shutter mode and shoot at wide open. It can shoot up to 1/32000s.
Can try using your ND filter and create motion blur effect.

Unfortunately budget shooters like me who's using X-M1 don't have the electronic shutter feature sad.gif cry.gif sad.gif cry.gif sad.gif

Hi guys, I just found two videos showing off-cam HSS for Fuji X-T1 (hopefully will work for X-T2 too). Any of you guys know where can get the Cactus V6 II trigger? Correct me if I'm wrong, I think this would be a cheaper option than the upcoming EF-X500?

Thanks!! Yeah, I was actually surprised seeing the price hike from X-T1's but IMHO it's agreeable with its crazy specifications.

BTW, the AF on this beast is amazing! Look at the sharpness of this kid's eye!

*above pic was shot with 56mm, aperture priority wide open at f1.2, Classic Chrome, spot-metered, finally NR and sharpness tweaked to +4.

Which AF mode did you use? Single point on the eye?
*
Frankly speaking I'm unsure, LOL. This was at my friend's wedding. Changed back and forth between single-point AF and zone AF (smallest group of points), but I kinda think it's the zone AF because I did set the camera's face+eye detection to auto.

I personally think classic chrome JPEG is (of course other are too) the best selling points for Fujifilm. Can't emphasize more on how I love Acros with red-filter and Classic Chrome film simulations.

I made a mistake using Classic Chrome in my landscape shots when I travelled to Yunnan. doh.gif Luckily noticed the mistake after few shots. Phew. sweat.gif

Agreed that velvia/provia is better for landscapes compared to classic chrome, but it's always better+safer to shoot in RAW, OR you can use the film simulations bracketing to safe/remove post-production time thumbsup.gif

No longer a fan of RAW as I don't have so much time to edit and convert. tongue.gif Fuji's JPEG is really good. laugh.gif
Anyway, though these were taken with CC, I still think they are not too bad with CC. laugh.gif After that changed to Velvia. tongue.gif

Figured, so you can go for my latter option previously which is to user film simulations bracketing. I mainly set it to Provia, C. Chrome and Acros red filter, so everytime I switch the drive mode to bracketing, I get 3 JPEGs with different tones/colors for each press of the shutter. Saves a lot of time and no more frustration accidentally change film simulation!!! thumbsup.gif

I wanna get a fuji camera so much, yet,
i have such a small budget, cause still studying..

This is my 1st camera,
I am split between E2s T10 and A3
Any opinions for beginners?
*
I'm voting for T10 if you want the cam A.S.A.P. The A3 slightly better in terms of resolution and for vlog/selfie but won't come anytime soon according to www.fujirumors.com

Fuji in German already starts giving €300 cashback for Fujifilm X-T1. You can wait for Fuji Malaysia to announce the same (or maybe won't? IDK)

If the offer do come, you can try to nego with ppl selling used X-T1 to lower their price

or just get the X-T10 I guess laugh.gif

If you want, I have an old manual focus lens to let go, its a Fujinon 55mm f2.2, M42 mount (together with M42-to-Xmount adapter). I used this lens as my "stepping stone" into the portrait lens world (paired with Fujifilm's Focus Peaking feature). Bought this for RM300 on January 2015.
