any apps that uses lockscreen API are not allowed access to fingerprints and iris database so you can't use them to lock/unlock again. otherwise apps can mine or steal them easily.

your second question is also related to security. to prevent apps from hijacking your clicks and setting permission as they wish.

Anyone monitors their note 7 temperature?

My note7 runs warmer than note3. Note7 just feel warmer even when not under heavy work load.

Normal browsing, temperature is 32C for note3, 35C for note7

I don't see news about oversea note7 users encountering freeze/reboot problem. Likely SME got the bad batch.

By google the news, scratch-gate appeared to be the only big issue.

No idea. But rest assured, every first batch products made no escape from havin problem.

I'm wondering if the same people that have raised the issue of the phone freezing and boot looping here are the same ones that are bombarding Samsung's FB page? I hope so... Otherwise it would mean that there are many, many faulty Note 7 units out there...

But the hang/freezing were reported at TW no?
