here's my experience with samsung rm39 official screen protector:

2 pieces, feels better quality than those cheapo rm5 PET sp. not quite tempered glass feeling but better than usual PET.

covers almost all of the screen including almost 99% of the side edges, but not camera/iris scanner otherwise it'll interfere with image quality and infrared scanning.

very high in difficulty installing this SP without soap technique. if you misaligned it a bit too many degrees to the left or right theres a chance a small part of the edge of the SP will stick to the metal frame instead of screen and this will cause lifting.

i've installed it dried to test it out and couldn't get it 100% perfect, by my estimation about 1mm off centre. also had to spend quite a bit of time to squeeze out the bubbles compared to flat sp. also surprised that 2-3 dust speck bubbles were able to be flattened out. usually the bubble in normal PET SP will remain big no matter how much you try to squeeze it out.

any casing that is covering more than the metal edge frame or touching the edge screen will most probably cause SP to lift even after fitting casing correctly cos you'll most certainly drag the sp along when taking out the phone from your pants pocket.

personally not satisfied if it's not 100% correctly fitted, but will do for now until more reports and tests are out on the gorilla glass 5 durability. then i'll probably ditch the sp and go naked like my current s7e.

No rebooted. Because if reboot i will need to unlock my sim again. Oh yea, i am using double tab to sleep features via nova launcher.

Any third party apps that uses API to lock or wake the screen you'll need to use pin/pattern/password to unlock.

Over secured? Lol.
Also facing issue cant toggle on app permission if u using any floating app. Example Sidebar pro or any swipe edge to trigger back or home. We must turn off these floating app only can set permission.

any apps that uses lockscreen API are not allowed access to fingerprints and iris database so you can't use them to lock/unlock again. otherwise apps can mine or steal them easily.

your second question is also related to security. to prevent apps from hijacking your clicks and setting permission as they wish.

Those that have reboot issues, do you have SD card?

If yes try removing it?

I just don't know why people are so afraid of charging their phones overnight - it's not going to damage the battery anytime soon.  Unless you use dodgy USB cables and chargers then that's another story brows.gif

If you cheapskate and buy those RM10 charger and if the phone explodes into flames...  then you deserve it.  brows.gif

That's why manufacturers are telling you to buy original/approved chargers - they are not scaring you to buy overpriced accessories.  icon_idea.gif

becos they're your common everyday casual user who gains their information from hearsay rather than knowledge from reading.

didn't even bother to correct someone when they posted their battery myths. any replies will just met with more of their own anecdotes instead of hard facts.

if you want meaningful technical discussion you'll need to wait a few months after all the newbie users have left.

any recommended tweaks to make the phone knock to wake screen? similar like sony and htc functions  notworthy.gif

no unless third party apps are used and i dont recommend it as you wont be able to use your biometrics to unlock your phone.

I do notice the standby battery drain is much worse than S7 edge
Previously using s7 edge i go to sleep at 50% wake up next morning 48%
Now note 7 lost almost 8 to 10% overnight. That is ridiculous consider the phone and battery still new and less than 1 month
And i realised that "android system" drain most of the battery. That i think is the caused of bad standby battery stamina, and causing doze not working like how it should be
*
no problem for me, 2% over 6-7 hours. normally for overnight drains first thing i'd check is wifi/cell signal. if too many wifi channels around or very bad cell tower signal i'd rather turn on flight mode.

in your case probably bad apps causing wakelocks.
