Dear
miloaisdino,
1. Regarding your ONCIS website (
https://myhsbb.me/), for streamyx, if a port is stated as having 10Mbps maximum speed, do this means highest package possible is 8Mbps? Or there's actually a 10Mbps package? I know that they open the port cap/limit to ~10Mbps for some people on 8Mbps plan.
2. Also, is there any different between 10Mbps SUBB and 10Mbps Non-SUBB? Do SUBB means VDSL-capable (better upload) and Non-SUBB is ADSL-only (slow upload speed)?
3. I assume that "unifi lite" here means VDSL service, not the recently rebranded streamyx, right? Then that "Eligible for unifi lite (SUBB)" means that port is VDSL-capable?
4. What if the port is stated as "Eligible for unifi lite (SUBB)" but maximum speed specified as 4Mbps only, can it be upgraded to unifi lite (VDSL)? But the lowest unifi lite package is 10Mbps, isn't? My port has max speed of 4Mbps only, but is SUBB (IPMSAN_NGN), and the distance from my house to the cabinet is about 1.8km (I follow the wires).
Thanks & regards.
Hi,
1. highest possible package is currently 8mbps for quality and reliability assurance purposes. With the new unifi lite package migration, it will be the one and only package. If the site states 10mbps, your port limit should be 10240kbps allowing you to get 8-10mbps (depending on pppoe speed limit)
2. SUBB comes with true 10mbps dl, 5mbps ul and lower latency as is is on vdsl. 10mbps port speed on adsl only allows up to 8mbps package, and only 8mbps is guaranteed. I suspect this was done because 2mbps could be taken up by hypptv stb.
3. unifi lite (SUBB) means vdsl (subb means vdsl)
4. If there are no more vdsl ports available for subb service, you can only subscribe up to 4mbps streamyx package at adsl.
