Well I meant you can actually re-use your current PSU (CM EPP 500W), save the money and invest in a decent PSU in the future when you have more funds straight away is a much better choice.

hmm that will be nice. thanks smile.gif

It is able to provide 360W max on 12V rails, if your PC is just an ordinary gaming PC without any extra fancy stuffs installed, then it is enough.
Actually with 360W, gaming rig also will work la.

Many good setup don't even pull 250W from the wall.

It's not about the wattage, going lower end PSU as such is a matter of having lower quality components supplying the juice.

so, the best is go vs450 ?
No, stick to what Terence mentioned above - stick to your CM.

From your CM going to that VS450 is actually no difference, VS450 is Corsair's entry level PSU so you're not upgrading.

Yup. You would want to avoid electrical noise. I would think that EPP 500W is at least minus 20% performance from the age though.

FreeSync monitor requires an AMD card to take advantage of it, and there is no equivalent card from AMD that provides the performance of GTX1070 yet so you gonna go for Nvidia path in this case, GSync monitor is expensive, almost 50% more than the cost of an equivalent FreeSync monitor.

Intel Core i7 7700 - RM 1408
Gigabyte H270-HD3 - RM 549
G.SKill Aegis 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM - RM 280
MSI GTX1070 8GB GDDR5 Gaming X - RM 2140
Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB SSD - RM 375
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD - RM 219
EVGA SuperNova 550 G2 - RM 459
Tecware Alpha - RM 229
AOC G2460PG GSync - RM 1900
TP-LINK Archer T6E AC1300 PCI WiFi - RM 150

Total: RM 7709 (ETECH price inclusive of GST)

To reduce the total cost, you may:
1. Get a cheaper model of GTX1070 (Palit/Zotac)
2. Get a non-GSync monitor (can save more than RM 600)
3. Switch to RX480 and FreeSync monitor (RX480 is slower than GTX1070 though)
4. Downgrade the mobo to older chipset/PSU.

etc.

Intel Pentium G4560 - RM 279
Asus H110M-K - RM 271 (BIOS update is required to support Kaby Lake CPU)
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 255
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD - RM 219
Superflower Leadex Silver 550W - RM 359 (Overkill but with acceptable "decent" level quality)
Tecware F3 - RM 119

Total: RM 1502 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

Add-on software:
1. Microsoft Office Home & Student 2016 ~ around RM 400
2. Microsoft Office Home & Business 2016 ~ around RM 750

Microsoft Office suite key isn't cheap, prepare to fork out large amount of money just for the serial number. You may consider to add a SSD to improve the system boot time and responsiveness.

not really worth to go for the k series... still 4 core 4 thread.. normal i7-6700 oso way better than tat de..

Ryzen .. dun put too much hope on tat...fast single core but overall i think performance like non k intel
*
Yup i7 has 8 threads which is really useful for some but in term of game performance, you won't see much gain on i7 over i5. devil.gif
