If it is not stated with any color rating then it is white, 80+ White, just like Corsair VS450/FSP Hexa+ 450W.

If you really want to have the "Bronze" rating then you can look for EVGA 450B, price is around RM 240.

whoa. evga? i cant find any seller sell evga psu. can you link to me?

EDIT. nvm, found it. hmm 80+ bronze is better then 80+ in term of what? silent fan?

EVGA PSU stocks just reached Malaysia last month so they are still quite limited in terms of available retailers.

80+ is a rating system, Titanium > Platinum > Gold > Silver > Bronze > White (mainstream one), these are the efficiency of the PSU, it has nothing to do with the 3rd party features offered by the PSU manufacturers like silent fan/0db fan feature/digital control etc.

What you get from Bronze over White is the little increment in terms of PSU efficiency but it is extremely hard to notice the difference in your monthly TNB bill. Higher efficiency = less AC power is needed to generate the same amount of DC power.
*
so, should i grab 80+ bronze or just pick any 80+ white? i think 80+ bronze is better right?

Then your best option would be EVGA 500B (tier 3), slightly better than FSP Raider 500W (tier 4).

okay thanks for that. really helpful biggrin.gif

For best price/performance ratio, you can go for the following build, but if you don't play graphics demanding games then you can downgrade the GPU and add SSD.

Intel Core i5 6402P - RM 729
ASRock H110M-HDV - RM 245
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 215
MSI GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 OC - RM 1129
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 188
Tecware Alpha - RM 229

Total: RM 2950 (ETech price inclusive of GST)
Your 144Hz monitor doesn't come with GSync/FreeSync technology right?

*
i dont think i'll need ssd cos i'm more to graphic demand. btw, this build is good to see. ty smile.gif

It seems GTX1060 with i3/i5/i7 CPU bottleneck issue has been the most frequently asked question in this thread now  rolleyes.gif

As always, to reduce bottleneck, you are advised to go for the best CPU that you can get with your budget, so no doubt that i5 is a much better pick than i3 to reduce the chances of getting a CPU bottleneck.

Those CPU demanding titles will show CPU bottleneck symptoms (doesn't matter which model, if the game/GPU requests resources faster than what the CPU can feed it then bottleneck will occur), different games have different hardware requirements, some will work fine on dual core i3 CPU, but some won't.

yeah eventhough with new gtx 1050 ti, ppl still consider gtx 1060 biggrin.gif
n thanks for the reply biggrin.gif

Looking for a silent PSU? Your budget can only get low (or mid) end PSU and the noise level could be still an issue during load time, perhaps you can try to add more money and get a 0-RPM mode PSU so it stays silent during low load (most likely to happen when you run a modern Intel CPU + Maxwell/Pascal GPU due to low power draw so fanless mode will always on active).

this is my current psu.

maybe u can suggest better psu than this? how about evga 500b? it has 80+ bronze i think.

EVGA 500B is a low end PSU and doesn't have 0db feature, so fan sound is still audible during heavy load, if this is ok for you then you are good to go  nod.gif
*
maybe that evga is better than my current psu coz of old psu hmm.gif
thanks biggrin.gif

Around RM 400+/- for both items (RM 500 if you are lucky  biggrin.gif )
Certain games yes, such as Watch Dogs 2.

Not compulsory to go with 144Hz if you pick GTX1070, 144 FPS is still a difficult task for high end cards now in triple A titles, even it is just 1080p.

so, what proc is a good combo with gtx 1070? current mobo is h110
