Yes, quite massively, anything below GTX750 in Nvidia 7xx series is total crap  laugh.gif
*
If that's the case, would it be wise for me to send my card for repair instead? It won't cost that much compare to buying a new GPU right? laugh.gif

R7 265 sapphire dual x should be an upgrade right? Since you mentioned R7 260X. hmm.gif

You can try to use the pricelist from the popular retailers in Malaysia to get the total price.

Here is a reference list from ETECH.

CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor RM 1107
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler RM 139
Motherboard: ASRock Z170M Extreme4 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Phased out, replaced by Z270M Extreme4, RM 780
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  x2 RM 580
Storage: Western Digital Blue 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive RM 413
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  RM 219
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING X Video Card  RM 1480
Case: Thermaltake Core V21 MicroATX Mini Tower Case RM 170
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply RM 459
The best would be looking for used card for that budget range because new low end GPU cost more than that, GTX750Ti around RM 500, GTX1050 around RM 600 etc.

Used GTX750Ti should be around RM 300 now (depends on item condition, warranty status etc.)

Yep, R7 265 is considered as an upgrade, minor one, it is a rebranded version of HD7850.

Depends on which part/component of your GPU is broken, if it is a minor one then it should be within the acceptable budget range, but I am just worried that nobody can quote you a reasonable price for the repair service since 650Ti is an old model, high chance that the components/parts of the card are already obsoleted sweat.gif

What's the main purpose of the rig? Gaming? Rendering? If gaming then you better focus more on the GPU instead of the CPU, GPU does help you by providing better and a more stable frame rates in games while CPU doesn't in most of the scenarios.

Hey Pros,

I just had a question, since I still have my old PC casing (gigabyte 3D aurora 570) and old power supply cooler master 1000w, could it still be use to build as part of a new rig today?

Any comments are appreciated, thank you in advance.

need some advice on getting a graphic card

Currently use

i5-6402P
ASUS B150 PRO GAMING AURA
4GB D4 PC2133

Only have few new games in Steam
1. PES 2017
2. Football Manager 2017
3. Civilization IV
4. Dead by Daylight
5. METAL GEAR SOLID V

and few old games that doesn't really even need GC

some of the newer game tak boleh pakai due to no GC

Is RM500++ low end GC capable of running those games?

If so, any suggestion?

If you are certain gaming is not necessary, you could consider this:

1. CPU - Intel G4560 (RM239) or i3-7100 (RM509)
2 MOBO - ASUS H110M-D (RM299)
3. RAM - DDR4-2133 8Gb (RM289) or 4Gb (RM149)
4. SSD - Samsung EVO 850 120Gb - RM299 - for OS and apps
5. HDD - 1TB (RM219) or 2TB (RM345) - storing your movies maybe?
6. GPU - GTX1050 (RM579-599) or GTX1050ti (RM719)

Prices are from Idealtech

Your budget will get you a GTX1050 2Gb (RM579) or RX460 2Gb (RM559) to run those games but may not be able to run at ultra settings for some games you listed

More for gaming. rendering that one may comes in in the future. So if i drop from 1060 6gb to 1050TI does the performance affects alot?

Yea quite huge the difference between 1050Ti and 1060 6GB, 1050Ti is around 65% of the performance of 1060 6GB, so you should expect to get around 40 FPS in games with 1050Ti if the 1060 6GB is able to output 60 FPS in the similar games.

For example,

i5 7500 + GTX1060 6GB = 60 FPS
i5 7600K + GTX1050Ti 4GB = 40 FPS

Clearly the first option is more preferred as it is able to output more frame rate (higher performance per price).

HP & Dell & Lenovo are OEM, you won't be able to see them in custom rig world except monitor and OEM PC biggrin.gif

Intel Core i7 7700 - RM 1424
Gigabyte H270-HD3 - RM 519
G.SKill Aegis 16GB (8GB x 2) DDR4 2400MHz RAM - RM 560
Zotac GTX1050Ti 4GB GDDR5 Mini - RM 729
Intel 600P 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD - RM 448
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 219
Superflower Leadex Silver 550W - RM 359
Tecware Alpha - RM 219
Dell UltraSharp U2417H InfinityEdge - RM 1019
Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 65

Total: RM 5561 (ETECH price inclusive of GST)

I picked a premium Dell UltraSharp monitor because PS is in the list, it comes with 99% sRGB coverage which is excellent for photo editing. To max out the budget, you may upgrade the GPU or monitor to 27" or 1440p model.

You are free to modify the build according to your own preferences nod.gif

You all can also try this website:

https://www.pineapple.my/

I got to know about it from the Pikom PC Fair, but I don't know what their quality is like.

I got my rig from AllIT.
