guys, currently i'm following a training plan and i need to do speedwork (8x400m, 9x400m and so on in 5k pace). i don't really understand how should i carry out this workout. do i need to run 400m, rest, and run again? or just run 8x400m (3.2km) non-stop?

It mean ask you to run at faster pace for 400m and then run at slower pace for certain time or until you recover and repeat it 8 times.

hi guys. recently just started jogging in awhile and i feel that i should invest in some proper entry level running shoes.

i have neutral arches so i can pretty much fit into most shoes. went to sportsdirect and shortlisted these... (around my bajet lah.)

Brooks aduro 3
Asics gel impression 8
Asics gel patriot 8
Asics gel contend 3
Adidas energy cloud
Adidas duramo 55

this is my very first pair of "proper" shoes.. previously just wear bata power shoes but i dont think its good for my legs in the long run...

so which one should i buy?  hmm.gif

I do have a pair of Asics Patriod 7. which i retired after a few months using it back in 2015 brows.gif
to me, don't just go for looks. try to read around on those shoes. plus, u should know your foot/Arch type. smile.gif

a Neutral Pronator
b Over Pronator
c Under Pronator (Supinator) smile.gif

Garmin used to have a budget GPS watch for beginner but sadly already stopped productions.

The cheapest GPS in the market for now will be Polar M200 Fitness GPS sport watch but no build-in music player
Price about Rm739 at www.bigbigplace.com

I am looking for an upgrade from my faithful Garmin 310XT, main reason is the need of HRM. Originally I was thinking of the Garmin Premium HRM strap but after some researches, surprisingly know that Optical HRM has already matured and several new GPS watches with Optical HRM have came out.

As my budget is sub 1000, I narrowed down to Forerunner 35 vs Polar M200.

It seems like Polar is the bang for buck. Although there's many reviews, I dont see much forumers discuss about it. May I know if it's worth to get?

Seriously tempting!

p/s: and yeah, chest strap is annoying (I used a few times during my Suunto era many years back, and don't quite like it. So since now there's matured wrist HRM option, may as well go for that - I can live with the slightly reading offset for the comfort!)
