I see. Great advice, thanks!

This is the first time i heard about salt sticks. It sounds like they give similar benefit to isotonic drinks issit?
well hello there. fellow viper finisher? laugh.gif

what the isotonic have wasn't sufficient through out the whole race, you will sweat and losses of your body mineral through out the race,
so you need to take some supplement in the race before the cramp kick-in, salt sticks is one of the supplement in the races that replenish your body salt level, isotonic just some sugar water that hydrate your body .
These capsule will help you to fight the cramp in the races.

ran last year
40% route without proper lighting, some routes which covered by main roads not putting cones, run at your own risks
several water stations are not ready (not fast enough to refill the water) due to lack of volunteers
no bottle water provided at the finishing line, only water filled with paper cup

Thanks. I barely made the COT (10 minutes to cut off) but I made it nonetheless lol.

The HM time is my PB so far just a little bit over 3 hours. I think if i went about it the usual way i prolly won't make it by the 30th KM. Walk breaks prevents losing breath and blisters which i get a lot in my previous runs.

I started with 2 min run and 1 minute walk but i got super pancit after 25 km plus and my running started to deteriorate so i switched to 1 min run 1 min walk. I managed to keep that up until the finish line with few stops to eat and pain relief.

It was raining mid race which sucks but not long after i reached the telur goyang station and the hot softboiled egg on top of bread is godsent in that cold and wet situation. Not many ppl in exclusive FM routes but it gets a little crowded on shared routes. They give bananas along the way but rly not enough. I brought a snicker bar and a couple of small 5 stars bars and they really helped.

Hi.. maybe you should include squats in your compound movement days instead on just doing leg day on Fridays. Try sticking to only deadlift, bench, rdl & squats in your routine.
Also try a variations of runs on your 3km runs like doing speeds run (400m x 7).

I would think so..below are google results on speedruns.

Benefits of speed running
Sprinting naturally increases the body's endurance strength, making longer cardio and muscle strengthening training sessions easier to complete. Through sprinting and speed training exercises, the body increases its ability to store oxygen, which helps the muscles function in all forms of exercise.

How do I do sprinting? I googled and they suggest speed running for 400 M or less.

I think sprinting is running at your maximum capacity and speed. Normal run can vary from slow run, fast run etc. Usually you do sprinting in set intervals - sprint for short bursts, then rest while walking and repeat.
