Which Garmin smart watch would you guys recommend? A device that can track swimming besides running and integrate well with iOS.
I only know about vivosmart HR and fernix 3.

QUOTE(uturn @ Jan 22 2018, 03:00 PM) I would think so..below are google results on speedruns. How do I do sprinting? I googled and they suggest speed running for 400 M or less.Benefits of speed running Sprinting naturally increases the body's endurance strength, making longer cardio and muscle strengthening training sessions easier to complete. Through sprinting and speed training exercises, the body increases its ability to store oxygen, which helps the muscles function in all forms of exercise. |

QUOTE(mylifesux @ Jan 22 2018, 02:14 PM) hi guys, My opinion is heavy squat requires some recovery time.i am new to running, beside ruining for my 4km and 1500m during my school time (which is 20 years ago, now 35 years old) Currently am training (no previous race experience) for half marathon (SCKLM) that held on this April 2018 for almost 4 weeks been doing 2 run a week one short 3km run during weekday and one long run during weekend (best performance is 12km) for long run, i am doing run walk. i will walk for 1~2min every 2km. I also been lifting weight 2~3 time a week but since i introduce my running training in to my schedule i have recovery problem specially after the long run or after my heavy lifting week below is my new program schedule: wakeup at 6am, start 6:30am and complete workout at 7:30am and go work at 8am I reach home at 8pm and i need to take care of my baby, therefore no workout after work Mon - Rest Tue - Weight (compound movement - pushup and deadlift) Wed - Weight (compound movement - push and pull) Thu - Run (3km) Fri - Weight (Squat & accessories) Sat - Rest Sun - Long Run (Aiming 10km and about) the problem happen last Sunday, when i fail my long run at 4.5km and feel like my body is breaking apart. Previously i been doing 8km (1st week), 10km (2nd week) & 12km (3rd week) my body have so much pain from neck to my lower back after the 4.5km run and i still can feel the pain today at my lower back. i suspect is my heavy squat on last Friday my question, is this the sign of over training or just a phase that i need to go through to get my body adapt to this new schedule. Thanks for reading and hopefully sifu here can give some advise Best is to slow down your pace according to your condition during long run that day. |

How many of your guys wear compression tights during marathon? Does it really give any benefit? Is the short pair as good as long pair?

Hi guys, I'm currently wearing Adidas Supernova GLide for running. Heard that Asics is good. Any recommendation for running outdoor and long distance?

QUOTE(teongpeng @ Apr 4 2018, 03:53 PM) Faster go buy other shoes. Still got time. Or maybe get a bigger size. I think Energy boost is best suitable for normal to slim feet. Mine is wide feet.Personally I would avoid any of the Adidas pureboost energy boost etc series. They r half fashion half running. If u like the boost foam, get the Ultraviolet or Ultraviolet ST. Another serious trainer the supernova and tempo series My good old pair is supernova glide but too bad outsole starting to wear out and midsole also spoilt. I sent to fix it this morning, the cobbler sew it but I dont know if it still feel the same.. Actually I'm okay to try other brands. How about Asics or Brooks? By the way, is it risky to wear a new shoes for marathon? haha.. This post has been edited by jcxii: Apr 4 2018, 04:58 PM |

QUOTE(teongpeng @ Apr 4 2018, 05:26 PM) If it's any help, my friend also with wide feet went to brooks and the sales guy suggested the Adrenaline GTS 18. My friend told me it fit him perfectly. Bare in mind this is a guy who can't wear most shoes due to width. U may have to ask the sales guy for wider version of the shoe though. thanks thanks! I will try to check out the brooks store. hopefully can find a good one |

I went to measure my feet, confirmed I have flat feet but with normal width. Bought a pair Adrenaline GTS 18 but yet to try out. It is cheaper comparing to Asics Kayano 24.Thanks bro. |

QUOTE(afiqishak @ Apr 9 2018, 10:22 AM) So far so good.. It fits perfectly. Advice to wear half size up.Not sure is it because of the shoes or not, I don't feel much post run muscle pain compare to last time. BTW, anyone knows if there is any 30K run? except PJ run, it is so near SCORE run. |
