Anyone on either XOX prepaid or postpaid experiencing mobile network issue today? My line is ok (can call and receive call)but mobile internet is not working at all

I have 2 SIM, just curious SIM in iPhone auto loss signal after turn off on airplane mode after a while, sometimes can stay long time without loss signal. The other SIM put into android phone didn't face this kind of problem. SIM only use for call.

? Then what happen when you subscribe it before March 2024 ? I remember the terms only apply for new subscriber at March.

Correct if I am wrong , in law terms , when you sign up , you are bound to that TnC date and any changes must need to inform customer , if not consider invalid.
Many years back ,there is a case where other telco change TnC and every thing went havoc and that telco have to revert back since everyone complain.

example buy 10GB RM50 , then request monthly 1GB just for whatsapp.If that particular month over quote finish, it will revert back to 512kbps basic data or totally barred and cannot access the internet whatsapp ?

1. That thing was still a thing in 2019 (mnp to onexox instantly gets 28 months) now obsolete

2. Onexox is one of only telco who can able stack validity. So should be extend to 36+12 months in total. Unless in the middle line got barred and validity reset

There's this clause in the TnC where they reserve the right to amend at any time bla bla bla ... so they only need to announce and inform unilaterally ... it sucks to be subscribers at their mercy but thats the standard practice everywhere ...

as subscribers, we need to understand how the system works and use it to our advantage ... which unfortunately right now is very blur because their CS themselves don't really know how the mechanism really works at the backend ... more time is needed to understand it ...

The old welcome deal for mnp was removed a few years back ... any mnp or new activations now requires welcome deal to get 28 months validity.

One of my number received the 120 days notification. I just reloaded RM10 to see if it counts ... nope, it got barred on 29th may ... so after 3 sms, the number got barred. So, they will just bar the number if we do not comply with RM30 within 120 days. After barred 30 days it will be blocked 30 days then terminate. I unbarred the number and transferred everything out. Haven't decided yet but maybe I'll do some experiment to see how the mechanism works (or maybe just get a new number). Seveal pages back xinaixin have a very interesting piece of info of the unverified mechanism. Probably need several more months to confirm it.

Another BIG problem right now is confusion by everyone. There's no way to check validity package status in app or selfcare. The only proof of validity package purchase is by sms (which is not 100% reliable delivery). If not received or deleted or phone broken then we subscribers have big problem.

I only found out about the 512kbps basic internet early this year. Tested with 512MB FAT500 and confirmed basic internet 512kbps speed after HS quota finishes. DATA BAL says 10GB basic internet. Been using it that way since then. People around me also started using FAT500 as backup plan. Basic whatsapp and tele messaging works fine at 512kbps. For the sudden need of HS data, I just do DATA ADD 500 ... Do note that the 500MB and 1GB monthly plan can only sub until 31-DEC-2024. It will still auto renew after it but cannot sub anymore after the date.

Any new onexox activations can/should refer to my suggested options one page back (post #9852). The rm50 welcome deal has less value now ... the Happy Hour RM15 has better value ...

For now, I'm staying with onexox to utilize the FAT500+basic internet to the max but will give only peanuts and breadcrumbs to onexox for playing this kinda game.

their expiry date.

Users who didn't have proof of purchasing the validity are denied their long validity and are told to top up their prepaid to resume active line depends on the top

up amount and/or purchase the 1 year validity again.(That's why I remind users to keep the proof of success purchase validity)

As for users who have proof, I suggest that they report to SKMM/MCMC so SKMM/MCMC can check on onexox about this matter but unknown how many users are

willing to make a report cause they feel it's troublesome as they can claim back their long validity by submitting the proof of purchasing validity.

Does anyone know how soon the sms will be received before the line gets barred?

I have done my complaint to mcmc. Even though to me is small case, but from consumer side, I need to protect my right. Hopefully mcmc may take seriously to this. Just worry they both mcmc & OneXOX play football.

they are toothless nowadays tbh. it's a game of whether telco is scared of the threat or not. if not scared, ntg will happen. case close. i kena b4.

When there are too many complaints, authorities won't be able to handle nor the Telco should be scared. Like last time, ewallets scared of Bank Negara and Bank Negara also take action very fast. Nowadays, nothing to scare and Bank Negara also tired with all the complaints.

It will be different if this makes it to the press. Bad publicity.

The current wawa extra 24GB + SP EXTRA35 voucher promo is worthwhile to use for 2 months short term use. People around me is using it that way.

From xox latest FAQ seems like it stated that to avoid confusion we should follow the expiry date stated in the app ?

The 36 months validity awarded FREE when new users purchase any welcome deal within 10 days new users activate their prepaid.

Only the RM25 for every 1 year validity purchased are counted.
