guys i applied online and just received my sim card today ; port from yoodo to xox.. i want the long validity plan..whats the steps?

just check do we need to top up every 3 mth for prepaid for now?

or we buy 12mth validity is good enough ?

If you plan to use the simcard continously/monthly... Just do monthly topup..
If you plan to use it as a secondary/backup sim (not frequent), you can buy validity extension (6/12 months).

According to CS, buying a 12-month validity is good enough to keep one year without reloading. I tried for my mom's no. since March and until now, she doesn't get any SMS anymore reminding her to reload her no. RM 30 every 120 days.

Yes, there were a few SMS-es reminding my mom to reload or no. will be terminated etc.

Yes, my sister who bought validity in Feb, doesn't get any SMS up to now as well.
My mom got it because her no. was MNP-ed about two years ago and only purchased the welcome deal with season pass shared by other users, she got the SMS-es.

Well, you can't expect a lot from them...
This longest validity thingy is a joke to me now since they implement this new rule.
So, I'm not expecting a lot from this company anymore to do any enhancement to boost user's experience.

Hi,if you want the 28 + 8 = 36 months FREE validity,you need to purchase any WELCOME DEAL within 10 days of your prepaid activation date.

Reminder : as this 36 months validity are FREE, you need to top up RM30 every 120 days to maintain these long validity.

Hi, since you already have 5 prepaid line registered in your id/mykad,you can register under other person's id/mykad.

If like that, better promote new plan with every topup rm30 have 120 days validity instead of may have chances breach the law and get penalties by mcmc. And then stop the 36 months validity plan advertising since implementing new plan rules, the old users just let it go until expired. Telco get the reputation respected by users and users still can enjoy the benefits. But what can see is telco using 28+8 months validity advertising to attract ignorance customers.

Just updated. Telco was replying me at my mcmc complaint portal and try to resolve the complaint. I appeal again and asking mcmc staff to step in for review. Now the appeal pending under forum review by mcmc and CFM. Will update again once receive their response.
