I used to subscribe to 500mb from season pass with Auto Renewal off. When data runs out, I just subscribe to another 500mb for another full month.

That was what I did, until they momentarily scrapped fat500 and fat1.
I'm ok with 1GB, just wondering what this basic internet is about.

Basic data will be used once Full Speed (subscribed) data runs out..
Theoretically, it'll run at 512kbps...

Currently, FAT1 and FAT500 can be subscribed via SMS, and it'll be available until 31st Jan 2024.

I used to subscribe to fat500 and I would lose internet connectivity (no basic internet) when the 500MB quota ran out. So I am wondering about this basic internet since it's the first time I am seeing it.

I get rather bad 2g from Onexox celcom at my home, -90dbl. While 4g gets -70 to -80dbl average. Should this be a deterrent to continue with Onexox?

If calls are still ok, then guess can hold on. As for 4G depends on your purpose of usage.

So is 5G available for XOX now? Saw some dealers sharing how to enable it but then still stuck on 4G+. Deduct RM2 for SMS charges some more

Onexox dealers received notice about 5G service(Average speed 284 mbps) will be available starting from 04.01.2024

To activate 5G service,users need to send sms 5G ON to 22777.

And many (maybe all) users with 5G phone already activate the 5G service and still stuck at 4G+ like you even though they are in onexox 5G coverage area.

Dealers also help in the setting in the 5G phone.......still 4G+

So.......do you think onexox really are ready to provide 5G service ?

Why do u need 2G? If you don't get volte, you should call xox careline and ask them to enable volte for your line.

Thx for sms info. According to map, I'm on 5G coverage even my unifi sim card is on 5G all this time..

But same as you, even after activated 5G via sms, my phone still on 4G+ even after setting preferred network to 5G and restart the phone. My unifi sim card easily on 5G after switch the mobile data profile.

The only good news is, the speed xox jump from the usual 4-7mbs to 40+mbs. Too bad, my unifi 5G speed almost reached 1gbs.

Any dealer here with info about the xox apn 5G. Maybe need to change anything on the APN

What? My one family lines are between 40-80Mbps on 4G.

Hi,according to feedback from onexox dealers and onexox customer service.......the current APN is still XOX4G.

This must be why I could continue use my mobile data even after my subscribed FAT500 runs out of data... din know that

Is the basic data only available when the subscribed data package validity not expired?
Also if we dont subscribe any FAT500/FAT1, does it mean that we wont be getting basic data at all?

The basic data @ 512kbps are available only to ACTIVE data plan which the data quota are used up.

Ikr.. it's shocking. Cs said it's due congested lines. That's why I uses xox data as backup and unifi data as main.

Depends... Knowing their services was congested in the past and having a lot of frequent disconnections espcially in Sarawak. Although actively using it as a main line just for phone calls. I hope so. Hopefully they bought more bandwidth this time otherwise it's back to the same issues.

This "Due to congested lines" have been their excuses for the past few years,no improvement

At least the issue was rectified within 24 hrs, if not, they're going to see another MCMC report for misrepresentation of service.

Currently Using B10 and legacy B39 but with 100GB and above for quota. The new B39 is misleading IYKYK.
