Dear All,
Considering either porting my prepaid UM line to onexox, or just buy a new number.

If I do MNP online, I don't need to visit any Onexox dealer/store to complete the registration, right? Will I kena service disruption of my UM line during the porting process?

I am thinking of doing it online as there is no dealer convenient enough for me to visit.

Btw, if I buy new line, does it matter if I choose first option vs 2nd option? For first version, if I top up RM30 (total RM40), it will be the same as choosing option 2, right?

APN not automatically set by phone? When I swap my SIM cards (in my phone, only SIM 1 can be used for data), I did not have to do any setting change. Not even when I first purchased the SIM cards.

Just submitted my MNP request online from orange to Onexox. Hopefully it will be a better experience compared to orange. How long does it normally take to complete porting? Website says up to 5 working days (including sending me the new SIM card by post).

Submitted my MNP request online yesterday morning. Today, received email saying SIM card has been mailed. This is fast service.

From onexox website, the fat 5/fat10 is no more on offer, only have this:

For new subscribers like me, I understand we can still buy fat 10 once, right?
Any way to test out the 4G data speed before committing the RM50 for fat 10? Buy daily data at RM3?

Thank you for your advice, especially on subscribing fat10 after the test drive RM3 data is used up.
Any chance of buying both fat5 and fat 10 and stack them?

Received my new SIM card today. Anyone can guide me on how to register the card? I went to xox.com.my/mnp as directed, but cannot see any column to key in my mobile number as mentioned in Step 1.

I thought DG or UM are complicated enough, with their so many types of data plan/combo.

I signed up for Onexox, thinking Season Pass is like our money in the bank, use data like normal and it will deduct accordingly. Mana tahu, kena subscribe weekly/monthly and deduct from season pass. Ok lah, granted, it is still cheaper per GB of data, since I estimated my usage to be < 500MB per month. And then, they go and set the minimum data subscription to 1GB per month.

What if the minimum data package is changed to 2GB per month mega_shok.gif

From what I just read above, if you subscribe to RM15 1GB data for 30 days, it will not deduct your money from your account (yeah, there is this DA/MA account thing, which is something I need to figure out), but it will deduct from your season pass. So, if you purchased a season pass of say, 5GB, you will be left with 4GB in the season pass.

Anyone can tell me whether there is an official Android app for onexox? There are a few in the Playstore when I searched for it, not sure which one is the real deal.

Anyone can advise which APN to use? I created xox apn from what I Googled, but it's 3G speed. With Celcom prepaid, I get 4G.

Does it matter which Celcom prepaid you choose? There are many of them celcom internet prepaid lah, postpaid lah, http prepaid.

Just successfully ported in today. Initial experience seems very good compared to UM in terms of coverage and data speed.
I like the USSD menu - when you key in *150#, it goes to your last used menu instead of balik semula to main page after you have exited the menu whether by mistake or otherwise.

Question:
If I subscribe from Season Pass, say, 1GB for 30 days, what are my options if I finish up the data before 30 days and I still need to use data? Can I subscribe from SP again or am I only allowed to top up data by deducting my $$ credit or must buy from standard package by deducting my credit?

My RM3 data test run just finished. Bought my first Fat10, and got the 10Gb free data for one month as well.
I must say I am satisfied with this line after using 24 hours.

Only strange thing is I used 500MB of data over 24 hours based on the App information, and this is when I was also using home WiFi. Much higher than I expected. Liddat 1GB pun not enough for me per month, when I could hardly use 500MB p.m. on UM line.
