The ppl in the landside are open 24hrs so if you know your flight is delayed early or have a very late departure time, stay outside until just before boarding....
*
Thanks for the tip. But for me personally I would always prefer to be at departure side as I don't like the feeling of rushing to clear immigration and security checks. Always feel more relaxed at airside waiting for departure. On Landside, you always have to ponder if there would be long queues at immigration and then again at security check before departure areas sweat.gif

12 am to be exact at KLIA 2. If KLIA, its 24 hours. If you are at KLIA 2, then no choice have to sleep on the floor and wait for AA to compensate you with a cold, hard burger with a bottle of mineral water later . laugh.gif

I was flying from KK, if not mistaken it was close at 11 or 1130... Managed to grab some late dinner inside PPL and ignore AA hard cold burger tongue.gif

You would be lucky you get a 'hard copy' burger. If delay time is not that long, you wont get nothing. laugh.gif

Blame the auto correction. Haha
My worst delay was in Bangkok.
3pm delayed till 3am.
No notice in advance, keep on delaying a few hours and finally the flight only reached by 3am.
Got some voucher to spend on food.

That is really f#*#ed up... even with lounge use. I only pity those with babies and kids or old people tagging along. Seeing these people lying/wondering around aimlessly near the departure area like a disaster zone.

I suspect, even if they knew the flight will be delayed by 12 hours, they will never tell you that. They will never say more than 3 hours. Often a few hours....then a few hours...then a few hours more etc.

I do that often after a overnight flight and plenty of time for the next connecting flight.

Perhaps, not too sure.
If I knew it will delayed for 12 hours, I will at least go back to City or choose to fly the next day.

I think I read somewhere saying if the delay is more than 3 hours, there are extra obligation on airline's part. Hence they will never tell you straight away the delay will be more than 3 hours. If less than 3 hours, their only obligation is give you chicken feed.

But I am not too sure about that. Just my guess

that is one way they wont get penalized,
another point is maybe they try fixing the plane, but time is not sufficient

Yes, but not worth it, unless you have no where to go and need to spend hours there...

No way. SST RM25/access is too much, equivalent to RM400+ for each paid access (6%).
