i tested use the remote for vista media center.. sadly to say... not all usable... any1 can tel me y i cant watch DVD using my benQ media center on vista?? it shows "play" but the screen is black...

R55 already phase out lor ^ ^
but benq so far is quite ok ar ^ ^

Oh? What's the latest modal before S41 then? Coz I'm interested in BenQ but I think S41 is too new for me to know if its reliable.

i bought a BENQ T31 last year, i what i can say is, it is really annoying, because since the 1st day i bought it, when i try to play music, or just typing, it would get stuck and make a very weird screeching sound if i play music, what i mean stuck here is, all system not responding, so i need to push the power button 2 restart,it happens very often but i cant estimate when it will get stuck, its just happen sudddenly, at 1st i thought this is just a common issues, but until now, it is still like that and irritating me, i have tried many things, reformat, download new drivers, all other things and it is still like that, pls help me, my father has mistakenly destroyed the warranty receipt in the washing machine

john_jay2, the S41 looks nice for me also. But, I don't know whether the brand can be trusted or not ler..

was it a year ago? still within warranty period? i brought my laptop to low yat drop point 4 weeks ago, they dun need me to show the warranty card. i guess there is a serial number at the bottom of ur laptop, by using that number, i guess benq service center can trace back whether ur laptop still within the warranty period or not.

since in ur case, u should bring back to benq. i have problem on the display of my laptop on the second day after i bought it, so i brought back on the 3rd day to the dealer.. they offer me one to one exchange

well, 1 complaint doesnt mean the whole product or brand is bad.

i've seen countless happy R55 and S73G users out there, bragging about the performance their laptop has with quite unbeatable price in this malaysian market.

why?before being phased out, it's being sold at RM3550.eventhough the S41 is its replacement, i bet there's no other manufacturer can offer u a powerful core2duo processor combined with Ati Radeon x1600 at that price.

..and so far the complaints about benQ i've heard (n see in this lowyat forum) is 2, 1 is regarding the RAM and 1 more is the above one.others are all happy users

mine works fine. only problem is when i use drivers thats not from the benq site. but from ati. latest b0rks for me. so i use omega driver, no problem. just need the south bridge driver from ati.

if you wanna buy, get s41, from the specs i think its a steal, for that kind of price.
s73 and r55 is obsolete. only buy if its less than 3k

Yea..1 happy R55 user here. No complain at all But may be going to sell out soon cos of S41 Need to consider twice 1st b4 sell cos i just bought it 1.5 month ago.

my s73g got over heat problem, normally the cpu temperature wil b 60degree celcius just with surf net, when playing dota , it wil rise up to 75 to 80 degree celcius for cpu. i not sure is it normal or not, but i saw someone say tat he run for 3 days only 45 degree . it is quite hot when on my keyboard there.
