izzit hot all the time or just during heavy processing or heavy gaming? coz usually the more load given to the GPU the more heat it generates...Heat is always the enermy of a lappy ..lol

it's hot whenever the environment is hot, when i m in the air con room, it's ok. like normal online, it'll still hot.

i've sent my lappy to the service center before but they say my laptop is ok. nothing goes wrong.

dat place is hot cuz thats where the cathode lamp is. Juz imagine it as a real thin fluorescent tube which provides da light for ure lcd =) So its normal to be hot and no prob wan dun worry.

Ya, there is an IC behind the benQ word. my laptop warranty already over, that's why i dare to operate myself.. haha.. and that 3 inch long IC provides the backlight of our LCD screen.

i bought a BENQ T31 last year, i what i can say is, it is really annoying, because since the 1st day i bought it, when i try to play music, or just typing, it would get stuck and make a very weird screeching sound if i play music, what i mean stuck here is, all system not responding, so i need to push the power button 2 restart,it happens very often but i cant estimate when it will get stuck, its just happen sudddenly, at 1st i thought this is just a common issues, but until now, it is still like that and irritating me, i have tried many things, reformat, download new drivers, all other things and it is still like that, pls help me, my father has mistakenly destroyed the warranty receipt in the washing machine cry.gif icon_question.gif

was it a year ago? still within warranty period? i brought my laptop to low yat drop point 4 weeks ago, they dun need me to show the warranty card. i guess there is a serial number at the bottom of ur laptop, by using that number, i guess benq service center can trace back whether ur laptop still within the warranty period or not.

since in ur case, u should bring back to benq. i have problem on the display of my laptop on the second day after i bought it, so i brought back on the 3rd day to the dealer.. they offer me one to one exchange rclxms.gif

i m happy with it till now ^^

usually it is hot ..but bearable when u put ur hand on top of keyboard then is okay

here is a link to a software that test the temperature:
http://www.pbus-167.com/nhc/nhc.htm#anchor_download

"What is Notebook Hardware Control (NHC)
With Notebook Hardware Control you can easily control the hardware components of your Notebook
Notebook Hardware Control helps you to:
- control the hardware and system power management
- prolong the battery lifetime
- cool down the system and reduce power consumption
- monitor the hardware to avoid system failure
- make your Notebook quiet "

It will be nice if you'll be able to provide us some infos about temperature and we could compare see if it really overheat ..
