Now in between choosing wise or essential.
Based on posted, seems like wise is not able to waive annual fee. My other family member got one essential card, auto waive after spending x amount or number of swipe. But seems unable to find it from HL website cited essential has auto waive. If cannot have auto waive, might as well get wise. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 20 2024, 12:00 PM) Download the supplementary card form: https://www.hlb.com.my/en/personal-banking/...l/infinite.html (the form is the same for all the cards) and e-mail to HLOnline@hlbb.hongleong.com.my (you can also add hltelemktg@hlbb.hongleong.com.my) together with the supplemetary cardholder's NRIC / passport.I have done this multiple times and usually takes less than a week before you see new supp card suddenly appear in your HL online. If they're slow, you can follow up using those 2 e-mail addresses. |

Thanks so much sis! I guess I will do the same too but I'm unsure if there is any age limit for supp card? I saw from the website principal card is between 21-70 years old. I plan to apply supplementary for my mom who's 71 years old. I guess I will just use my sister's name then since they live together.I have done this multiple times and usually takes less than a week before you see new supp card suddenly appear in your HL online. QUOTE(newtunes @ Sep 23 2024, 03:30 PM) Thank you. Beware - now on my log-in into HLB, it says minimum spending RMx,xxx for annual fee waiver. For years it was 12x swipe and i've already hit the 12x but this month i see the reminder changed. geram aku - 1-2 mth to go, just to hit their goal-post movement.Their essential card every year auto waived with x number of swipe. But now only can find first year waived in the t&c. Change already? |

I'm not sure, but I think I successfully applied for my dad when he was above 70 (can't remember as I cancelled the cards). For CIMB, definitely allowed me to apply above 70.I will apply soon. Hi, I just found out the same thing. Last yr when the officer approved my essential card, I was given an understanding that as long as I swipe 12 transactions, no annual fee charged. I recently found out I need to swipe at least RM8K to waive that stupid 100 annual fee? |

CS said i need to poke them if the AF isnt auto-waived this coming 2 months and they'll wave "with required actions" - like use the card xtimes etc.whee.. i love jumping through hoops - like SCB which now does waiver via their mobile app AND disallows waiver (final decision) for nearly everyone i know. fun! |

They told me to contact them to waive the annual fee if the bank charge me.whee.. i love jumping through hoops - like SCB which now does waiver via their mobile app AND disallows waiver (final decision) for nearly everyone i know. fun! |
