How come HLB Wise Visa charges 1% DC fees for transactions such as Netflix and Booking.com?
I don't recall ever getting this charges on other banks credit card. I just double checked, till last month my Netflix was paid through my RHB CC, memang no 1% DC fees.

QUOTE(contestchris @ Sep 12 2024, 10:19 AM) Other banks don't charge? If so, any idea why HLB does? It is international transaction. Higher cost incurred to the card issuer. CIMB and SCB had been charging for many years. HLB and Bigpay started a few months ago. Some banks yet to start charging: Maybank, PB, RHB. QUOTE(contestchris @ Feb 3 2024, 08:19 PM) I called HLB. CS agent confirmed transaction MCC captured as 5541. I countered by saying I did it at the pump and there was a rm200 hold. She checked the system and verified the same. She raised a dispute and I will know the outcome within 3 working days. According to her, MCC is set by merchant. I'm not sure if the fact I tapped my card vs insert card in terminal made a difference, but logically, I think it shouldn't matter. Proof of rm200 hold: EDIT: Could it be because I key in my phone number after purchase (for Setel points collection)? Same, paywave at Petronas Salak Jaya’s dispenser, found out no cashback. Transaction registered as MCC5541 instead of 5542, CS said nothing can be done, not necessary Pin/Wave problem This post has been edited by johnchen: Sep 16 2024, 09:40 AM

Is it eligible for 8% cashback for Hlb wise card? Anyone tried before?
