Thinking now with SST coming into the picture, will HLB consider waiving the compulsory annual fees for Wise card.

The cash back is based on monthly basis or our statement date?

Like my statement date is 15 Oct 2018, so means any spending between 15 Sept - 15 Oct 2018 will be consider as 1 month?

Unlikely. They said the reason to increase the annual fee 1-2 years ago is to keep the program going. If can waive, then no need to increase in the first place. Where to find so much money to give such a high cash back woh

This is not high cash back actually if you compare in the market since min spending of RM2K and annual fees coming in place as basically you only get around 8%++ for relevant RM1K spending.

If ever you include the additional spending of RM1K, it basically means you get around 4%++ cash back for total spending of RM2K.

To me, this is a marketing business trying to make things complicated instead of showing you the real percentage of cashback.

In summary, this card now only suited for those using above RM2K including RM1K relevant spending to earn the full 8%++ cashback which is around 80 bucks per month in cashback.

Hehe RM1k on BP/Insurance/Govt and RM1k real spending, RM1200 - (RM160+RM25) = RM1015 guarantee CB.

Yeah, when I first ventured into cash back cards, I did encounter this and asked in forum. I thought it was a one-off 2000 spending tongue.gif

I guess it's only useful for people who spends a lot or know how to workaround the spending.

Haha. You have so much cashless to spend. Mine are mostly cashful, so only left with a little groceries and bills that can go with cards.

I know someone who's even utilizing the Essential card for unlimited 1% cash back. I think he has the volume that the 1% unlimited is more worthwhile than those 5% cards. And no, he's not keen to apply for the 5% cards to max them out before this 1%.
