Anyone try using BP to topup to complete the 2k requirement if your real spending without the BP topup less than 2k and got the 10% cashback?

This card is losing benefits each day with this new combination of SST, no card point and annual fees and min spend 2k.

Any card from HLB that can be better than this card as of now? Seriously considering in leaving all of my HLB's list of cards with SST coming.......

Spend RM1000/month on 3 categories and get back RM98/month nett (in average), less Annual Fee RM160 and ST RM25.
So spend RM12,000 to get RM991... 8.3%, Quite good!
*
This is not fully accurate with minimum RM2K spending, if you have some other card to fully redeem RM2K spending to atleast 5% cashback, this percentage is way lesser to even half.

Charge RM1000 to Bigpay and Boost then withdraw with a service charge of RM6/2. It is meaningless to say this quasi-cash transaction I can enjoy better rebate rate if I use other credit cards.
So I just need to spend another RM1000 only.
*
Nope, it is already been done on my side actually with different combination of credit card:

PB Visa Sign - 6% - RM38 cap - RM640
PB Quantum - 5% - RM30 cap - RM600
Maybank AMEX - 5% RM50 cap - RM1000 with 5X TP thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

If I want to use BigPay and Boost, I can get other cashback also for the so called RM1000 spend like maybe:

Maybank Barcelona Card - 2% - RM50 cap instead to get RM20 cash back.

Trying to keep finding the best thumbsup.gif

I am paying electricity RM1000 every month...
HLB Wise - RM98 rebate (RM83 after adjustment)
PB VS+WM - RM60
M2 Amex - RM50+(RM2 TP)

Which one is the best?

If your only spending is RM1K then wise card is for you with bigpay.

Thinking now with SST coming into the picture, will HLB consider waiving the compulsory annual fees for Wise card.

The cash back is based on monthly basis or our statement date?

Like my statement date is 15 Oct 2018, so means any spending between 15 Sept - 15 Oct 2018 will be consider as 1 month?

Unlikely. They said the reason to increase the annual fee 1-2 years ago is to keep the program going. If can waive, then no need to increase in the first place. Where to find so much money to give such a high cash back woh
*
This is not high cash back actually if you compare in the market since min spending of RM2K and annual fees coming in place as basically you only get around 8%++ for relevant RM1K spending.

If ever you include the additional spending of RM1K, it basically means you get around 4%++ cash back for total spending of RM2K.

To me, this is a marketing business trying to make things complicated instead of showing you the real percentage of cashback.

In summary, this card now only suited for those using above RM2K including RM1K relevant spending to earn the full 8%++ cashback which is around 80 bucks per month in cashback.

Just thinking is BigPay still part of the RM2K requirement which means bigpay topup will form the transaction to fulfill the requirement of RM2K.

The only thing less attractive with this card with be RM98 annual fees especially when BigPay/Boost is no longer entitle for CB for other cards which sooner banks will plug this loophole.

Actually, this is all a package gimmick lol, as with the July revised rules, roughly you will get 6.5% cashback for around 700 bucks spending to 46 bucks cashback if you minus the 98/12 = 8++.

Petrol, Dining and Groceries for those who do all this on weekend. Not an impossible task to achieve if you really spend on this 3 category.
