Hi people, may I ask which fuse point should I use for Honda City 2008-2012?

Should I look for 2 Amp, 5 Amp or 10 Amp fuse? Are they sold in a set of 10?
*
For hardwire? 10A is more than enough.

Is 2amp necessary? Or lower is better such as 5amp?

Guys if I don't do the hardwiring, just use USB. Then will it auto turn on and record when I start my car??

What are the disadvantages of not using hardwiring

Yes, it will auto turn on and record when you start your engine.

Not much advantage if you're not interested in the parking mode. Maybe you get back an accessory port when use hardwiring.

hardwire will be cleaner as the wires will be hidden behind the dash. you can also wire to radio or ciggie lighter only turns on when you switch on the car.

You can also hide the cable behind the dash and route to the ciggie lighter port.

Hardwire is direct fuse tap to the car fusebox for power to either turn on when the engine on or have power when the engine is off for parking mode.

If so, does it eat a lot of battery?? Maybe it will affect the life span of the car battery?

battery life depends on how well it charges and discharge and amount of sulphation in the battery. But thats another topic for another day.

Of course if you drive the car once a week it does not have time to charge via alternator the battery will die faster. You have to decide if the parking mode is worth or not lo. For me I never enable all these fancy things. I just need to capture when driving.

Depends. If you drive your car daily then nothing to worry as like what gerald7 mentioned, the alternator will charge the car battery.

High-end dashcam will actually power off when the car battery reaches certain levels to prevent battery drain.

I got both already laid out via the A pillar and behind the dash. Using the A119S with the USB charger and hardwire kit ready for my F800 Pro which is arriving next month.

Actually, parking mode is really good IF something happens when your not there and the dashcam recorded it.

any of you experience the a119 unit make a single beep sound, at some random interval while it is recording?

mine does now... it is only 5mth old. This beeping sounds started 2 week ago. And sometime it will stop recording all together and the Rec button LED flashing, had to turn it off n on.

Also updated to the latest firmware, no help

It means your recorder fails to save the video into the memory card. You can try to take out the microsd card and put it back properly.
It works for me. It the problem still happens, maybe you should try with another memory card or it could also mean there's a contact failure between viofo and the microsd card.

cool, thanks, will try swap microsd card.
btw, just switch on timer... the interval is around 6mins between each beep.
