Evo Plus is red color and newer version of the Evo which is orange color.

Evo Plus 64gb and 128gb is rated at UHS3 where 32gb is UHS1. Evo.is is all UHS1 only.

After some research, i am planning to buy samsung micro sd evo plus 128gb U3.

Those using class 10 or U1 micro sd, are there any quality drop in the video?

Haven't encounter any drops yet in both my A119 and A119S. Both using 64GB Samsung Evo+.

What do you guys think of this one? It's class 10 but based on SD 2.00 specification, where bus speed is 25 MByte/s. Will it able to support A119 20MB/s bit rate?

Hm... Not really sure about these for dashcam use... Couldn't find what NAND chips they are using.

Best to go with Samsung Evo or Evo Plus to be safe or any High Endurance micro SD.

Gearbest got this weekend only sale for 128GB Samsung Evo Plus UHS3 for US47.99 (RM161+-).

Hope this email link works here.

I've ordered mine and it's shipped out on 2/8. Should be here next week,

The seller replied me, saying the one I shared earlier won't work with the dashcam. Seem like I'll just proceed to get from the link you provide

Edit: btw bro usd47.99 translates to myr203.57 le

Nope. It's MLC.

The last time i researched was only Samsung Pro series uses MLC. The rest of the series including Evo plus uses TLC.

Currently there are only a few using MLC. Do note about the warranty when buying a microsd coz some are voided if used on dashcam or surveillance camera (eg. samsung)

Read the forum below for more info.

This looks good...

However, they have introduced V-NAND microSD cards (EVO+ 256GB), which is very exciting. It's completely new fundamentally different from TLC/MLC/3D NAND and should in theory outlast MLC, and at higher capacities.

Now which dashcam can use 256GB?

Saw this also in DCT
QUOTE
While the Samsung may be only TLC memory there is twice as much of it so the card will last twice as long and so roughly match the lifetime of the MLC memory in the smaller card. In addition the Samsung comes with a 10 year warrantee rather than 2 years and I guess being twice the size the warrantee will cover about the same number of write operations. Plus the card will retain video for twice as long under loop recording. Plus I suspect the Samsung uses 3D TLC memory which generally has a longer lifespan than the old flat TLC anyway.

So Samsung using a newer 3D TLC chip?

Anyway, none of my Evo+ is having any issues yet. So wait and see. Maybe later consider High Endurance or Pro+ d...

My cam kept popping out "card full", "memory error" & "please reformat sd card".

I formatted (both on cam itself & on pc), restarted, but failed to get it recording.

I'm using Kingston 32gb Class 10 that I bought it together with the cam.

Do I really need to get a new card? It's only almost 6months since I started using :/ Or do I need to update it?

Exactly like this video:

Helppp...
Thanks!

Do you have another micro sd card to test with? Also what firmware version on your A119?

Get another card to try. Prefered high endurance sandisk or else samsung evo+. Unless ur kingston is industrial type. Otherwise usually is card faulty.

I've a Sandisk Ultra, but I guess that's not recommendable right? Or it's ok for just trying?

Firmware version 2.02
