QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Jul 24 2016, 03:13 PM) You Google Toyota Corolla axio also can see lot of similarities 1 platform can make many car, both width & length are adjustable.Anyway the wheelbase and width of both car are different making the assumption it comes from 1 platform highly unlikely. Normally car manufacturers try not to have too many platform as it's expensive. |

QUOTE(Elantra333 @ Jul 24 2016, 04:54 PM) Proton also doesn't have a lot of models that they developed entirely from the ground up... they have tie-ins with the Japanese (MMC & Honda), some European (Citroen) and I'm pretty much sure you also know that a few models are designed by Koreans (Saga BLM comes to mind). The thing is until now Proton still haven't really resolve most of their manufacturing quality problems whereas Perodua has nailed that part Saga BLM is not design by korean. They choose lgns as consultation firm which most automakers practice to pick consulation firm for specific aspect of project. Alot of platform P1xx P2xx P3xx and other platform is built by Proton themselves. The Iriz is the latest platform they built entirely from scratch. Proton has resolved alot of issues for ground up models. Their DPU has been improved on each model they developed. There not much Perodua has nailed other than most of the problems has been identified by the original manufactur of the donor cars. Bezza is a safe bet. Daihatsu and Toyota will not allowed perodua to create their own car from blank paper yet. There is big gap between perodua and proton in terms of engineering capabilities and knowledge, but Perodua has the advantage of manufacturing and assembly. |

QUOTE(ShengHeng @ Jul 24 2016, 03:01 PM) Test drove the 1.3 Advance variant. What i should say is what u pay is what u get. Dont expect anything better than vios or city or any of your b segment car. Ts. Put this in first post. Good review. The car feels heavy to be driven. So its very suitable for new drivers. But at the same time, it feels very lazy to move as well, so maybe thats how they manage to achieve a very good fuel consumption. Brake is decent for a perodua cars. A little throttle lag for this car too. The eco idle sounds rough to me when the car auto restart back the engine. Yes, the aircond, radio and every other thing else operates except the engine, so no worries. There is an electric power steering as per the SA, but to me, im like driving a larger car with hydraulic power steering, and the leather wrap on the advance variant steering dont feel any better. I would prefer the rubberised one. Same goes to the speedometer for the advance variant which looks abit cheapo to me. And the central locking isnt functional on the driver side's lock switch. Its only functional on the specially built-in central locking button found on the dash. The entire car is from a very thin structure. The seats are short, so u feel there is alot of legrooms. The doors are thin and so u feel a little more spacious. The floors are super thin till u can feel every humps and lumps on the frame, especially the reat seats. The car is super light till the entire car shakes even when u close the door gently. On the positive side, yes, it saves fuel and its a perodua! So, im pretty sure the maintenance cost and others comes in less expensive. Resale value for a perodua is rather good, afer all, we are malaysians and we prefer perodua, toyota, and honda just to name a few. It is spacious on the rear seat, and it looks alot more larger than the axia although it is of the same width amd height of the latter. The boot space i doubt thou as it appear not to be so spacious to me, or maybe its just me. However, hard plastics are to be found EVERYWHERE and the bold lining across the passanger dashboard isnt any piano black finishing. Anyway, to me, yes the car hits the right price spot. The only thing i would like to voice out is why the car is so underpowered!? I believe the similar engine used in indon variant avanza isnt that that bad. Thats all for my review on the 1.3 advance variant |

for those of you who are going to test drive the bezza advanced, do try to press the button on the right side that looks like a circled "A" letter, then make sure you wear your seatbelts and stop for a while - see if the Eco Idle kicks in. If not mistaken, the eco idle wont kick in with the button turned ON (i think)..just guessing..give it a try or ask the SA? if thats not what the button is for - then I wonder what is it for..cos during the product video when it shows the eco idle part, it shows an image of that button..sounds like it can be disabled?
Update: BTW i'm referring to the 3 minute feature video not the 1 minute one. Also, someone mentioned earlier no temperature gauge - FYI my Forte 1.6 SX (6 Speed) doesn't have it either. Its normal for more modern cars? This post has been edited by CyberKewl: Jul 24 2016, 06:53 PM |

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jul 22 2016, 12:01 AM) [attachmentid=7145408] most likely is auto-off when driver forgot to turn it off. not auto headlamp where the headlamp will turn on if the surrounding is dark. previous vehicles from perodua dont have such feature, they only have a "beep..." kind of warning to indicate you forgot to turn off your headlamp when you disconnect your key from the keyhole.Does this mean this car has auto light or just turns off the light itself if driver forgot to turn it off when engine is off? |

QUOTE(Elantra333 @ Jul 24 2016, 05:39 PM) At the end of the day it is the sales that matters and unfortunately Proton is not winning on that, Perodua is. That is true. It is not easy to built cars, especially a small company like Proton that have less than 300 engineers working on one models, whereby like VW have 800 engineers working for engines only. I'm just pointing out there is a difference between building a car from scratch than using someone else blue print. Which is Perodua hasn't achieve yet. Hopefully, Toyota and Daihatsu will give full freedom to Perodua engineers to develop our own car. |

Oh not to forget, their lousy air-cond compressors that spoils after 1 year+ of ownership. Luckily its under warranty if new car. If out of warranty, good luck. Maybe the frequency of it is lesser than Proton, but to say Perodua nailed that part is just plain bullshit salesman talk. So you can spare us that. QUOTE(jolokia @ Jul 24 2016, 08:59 PM) And limousine perdana are only available for how many?3 individuals. Is it even fits for commercial use? Or a result of some guy need to feel that his dick is longer than everyone else? Anyway you seem like the kind of guy who won't take no for an answer So why not I ask a question instead Given the choice of engine, look and safety features why you concluded it's a compacted ethios rather than a compacted corrola axio? Because logic dictate it take far fewer efforts to cheapen out the Corolla axio then it is to glorified the ethios |
