Ask yourself this la...  in perodua 25 years of car making how many you can count as bad car compared to say proton?

Perodua have a solid and good history. This one will be the same
*
Just need to remind. Perodua hasn't make any cars yet. Even the Bezza is hundred percent upper body is in house design, the platform is still an axia. The axia platform is already mature from previous daihatsu model dated 2 years, plenty of carryover parts with existing tooling. Perodua hasn't design anything yet from a blank paper. As to say proton, the models which they developed from ground, is to be expected to have problems. Even the big brand, when they developed new model with new platform, there will be a problems. That is why automakers 'tested' their car from the country of origin, their own citizen will have to suffer with problems. After 8 months or so, then they exported the car to other countries, when that problems have been identified and resolved.

Proton also doesn't have a lot of models that they developed entirely from the ground up... they have tie-ins with the Japanese (MMC & Honda), some European (Citroen) and I'm pretty much sure you also know that a few models are designed by Koreans (Saga BLM comes to mind). The thing is until now Proton still haven't really resolve most of their manufacturing quality problems whereas Perodua has nailed that part
*
Saga BLM is not design by korean. They choose lgns as consultation firm which most automakers practice to pick consulation firm for specific aspect of project. Alot of platform P1xx P2xx P3xx and other platform is built by Proton themselves. The Iriz is the latest platform they built entirely from scratch.

Proton has resolved alot of issues for ground up models. Their DPU has been improved on each model they developed. There not much Perodua has nailed other than most of the problems has been identified by the original manufactur of the donor cars. Bezza is a safe bet. Daihatsu and Toyota will not allowed perodua to create their own car from blank paper yet. There is big gap between perodua and proton in terms of engineering capabilities and knowledge, but Perodua has the advantage of manufacturing and assembly.

At the end of the day it is the sales that matters and unfortunately Proton is not winning on that, Perodua is.
*
That is true. It is not easy to built cars, especially a small company like Proton that have less than 300 engineers working on one models, whereby like VW have 800 engineers working for engines only. I'm just pointing out there is a difference between building a car from scratch than using someone else blue print. Which is Perodua hasn't achieve yet. Hopefully, Toyota and Daihatsu will give full freedom to Perodua engineers to develop our own car.

I think its up to u, proton known for speed, spacious car, perodua is more to compact, city drive reliable car, i bought bezza, coz my frens myvi n viva, never had aby problem, its reliable, proton have more power, but doesnt matter how fast the car highway u can only drive 110km/s...even i envy persona... Its more power... Better looking... More spacious... But i needed a reliable car.. I dont have anyone to help me incase car problem...even today i read a comment on fb.... A guy bought an iriz... After few months... Gearbox problem during raya... He tried to send to service centre twice.. But they reject coz raya... Short of man... Than the gearbox died... No function... When he claim warranty.... Proton said u didn't send to service in time... So warranty void... So he currently still trying to get his car fixed... Its been 2 months at service centre... We also need to consider after services some times... Persona looks great in paper... But... The quality? During the launch the ceo didn't mention bout customers satisfaction... But he kept repeating bout all the workers... And the vendors that proton is feeding... Its like they just trying to keep afloat.. They dont care if the vendor is bad... They just want to keep their job...keep how things are now...why dont u just spend a little more get a city or vios? A car that u can drive proudly n show off...its a good car.... Reliable.. Good looking.. Spacious...
*
I bought Iriz on launch day. No problem.

If you follow Proton development and their improvement plan, you'll notice it. Several vendors has been identified and changed for the Persona 2016. I can see the refinement on the small2 things. But it is not always vendors fault, it is how you control the vendors. Simply changing vendor will not solve all problems. Spending on vios or city is not spending a little more. It is spending alot more.

And yes, warranty will void if you not service your car accordingly. Not one to be blame except yourself. This apply to all automakers.

not all cars have problem, but proton known to have higher percentage of lemon cars.
*
There no hard number of how many percentage of lemon cars of Proton, based on models. But you have DPU for each models, and Proton certainly did improved on their DPU.

Im not saying Proton have no QC problems, in fact they still suffer QC problem. There lot of people received good Proton, but there also few received bad Protons. But certainly the bad Proton owners are more vocals.

So far, within Iriz communitcy, there is no huge problem like the one found in CFE based models like OCH problems. No tansmission problem as this transmission is carryover since Saga FLX generation, and there is no reported problem.

perodua bezza vs proton persona vs proton preve ..

which one most WORTH TO BUY in the market now ??

max budget RM 60 000
*
One thing stand out from the rest at 60k, is safety. With high strength steel at 1480Mpa, even any japanese car still on 590MPa steel, the Persona is the best bet.

Alah pasal proton, jangan risau lah. Dari dulu canabalisme sesama model line up mereka berulang setiap episod bila keluar model baharu...

Expected the unexpected for proton... Hahaha...
*
Last time yes. But now, no more. There is no overlapped engine sizes, crossing segment. With the launch of Saga 2016, which only offered in 1.3, it will not overallapped Persona that have 1.6 engine. Preve 1.6 NA will no longer be sold.

all new car dont have this features nowadays..it's global standards.

Tecnically it is not a global standard when new car do not have autolock.

Automakers can include autolock function if they also have the sensor to unlock upon impact (accident). If automakers do not have this specific sensor, they cannot put autlock. After market autolock do not comply with this regulation, so be careful when you retrofit aftermarket autlocks.

The old myvi have autlocks but do not have the sensor of unlcoking upon impact. This is because the rules is not been gazetted uner JPJ yet.

However, Proton do comply with this regulations. Iriz, Suprima, Preve, Persona have the necessary sensor to unlock the door upon impact. So yes, these models have autolock fitted directly from factory.

Many japanese car do not have this function even C segment, this is because to cut cost. They do not want to include the sensor.

The articles explaining this missing feature, is gone already. The url is broken. I posted a thread regarding this.
