your friend drive civic ketam?

there is no such thing that unlock speed meter, if you're talking about speed limiter that limit max speed at 220km/h, it wont affect the pick up also

every car behave differently, you need to know the sweet spot to get the most out of the car

Try 2 tankful of good petrol + fuel system cleaner each tank. Give it a good hard drive for about 100km in order for the ECU to give a richer fuel/air mix, a cheap way i learned from a car enthusiast before really plonking money for a part replacement.

service interval is same like typical japanese car, not much different even though it uses more advanced engine tech and more electronics

Thanks bro, ask the SA today and she said HQ do not want them to share this info as it might change time to time lol hmm.gif

Congrats on the choose.
Very good deal already. I get the car last year September only discount 1.6K + freebies umbrella, tyre inflators, tinted voucher (RM300 only) and half tank petrol. Tyre inflators also rosak 1. shakehead.gif
Gtechniq 9H coating quite famous. It's a UK brand. You may ask which package the SA give for the coating. Same to vkool tint, which tint they give.

You can, but nothing beats a good fuel system cleaner.

Add this in a tank of good petrol : http://www.lelong.com.my/red-line-si-1-com...7-01-Sale-I.htm

Do it for 2 tankful.

it is printed in the user manual as well

since we are sending it back to service center for service, might as well just let them do their job

but for me i will still do the checking myself, like those brake fluid, engine oil quality, coolant and etc

one thing to take note is the ATF, mazda claimed that it last a lifetime or at least 100,000km, but we should change it during 20k or 40k mileage

Thank all for the sharing thumbup.gif

one thing need to mention, actually i have misunderstood.

is either 1.5K + tint OR Coating WITHOUT rebate 1.5K...

So....

one question here, is the coating really important? does it really help in future? i mean after 3 - 5 years, is there a big difference between 2 car where one have coating and another dont have?

depends on how you take care, after coat you still need to wash your car verify often like once or twice a week depends on the weather, if no contact with rain or not many mud then can wash less frequent

coating can give extra shine and easier to wash the car since the dust wont stick to the surface of the car

if didnt take proper care for the coating it will wear off in 2-3 years, if take care then it will last, if compare side by side with a car without coating after 3 years you will notice the car with coating will have better shine given that it has been properly taken care of

good coat also provide UV protect and can prevent paint oxidation, but it doesn't provide protection against stone chip which is quite vulnerable for our car, and if you always drive under rain and didnt wash it, it will have watermark on the coat

tint no need say already la, we all know what kind of benefit it give

The ATF is fully synthetic type, can last 100,000km or more. But for our harsher and dustier environment, 80k km is a good time to consider replacing it. 60k km if you're paranoid or your journey is mostly stop/go type of jammed up traffic.

Wah....explosion proof shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

Should be security tint la tongue.gif If really explosion proof, the military will be seriously interested in it.

I presume she offered you Llumar brand, this is a reputable and established tint manufacturer. For free type, don't expect very good heat rejection (should be Titanium series, if better then best lor). But anyway, since free, just take it lor whistling.gif whistling.gif

Is it LUMA or LLUMAR? If it is Llumar this is a popular branded imported tint so should have some standard but I've not used it before.

But if you get better rebate with VKool tint may as well take the Vkool. IMO coating is not necessary.

I also not sure, most people go with Diamond series if they have the money. You can see the detailed specifications here :
http://www.tintauto.com.my/products/?pr=automotive

You can look around for opinions in the tint thread or you can ask the sellers directly on the garage sale section.

I'm using Llumar Diamond 6 now. So far so good. It's still hot if park under the sun for whole day but it is fast to get cold after air-con on.

Guys I'm new in this thread.
Seriously considering buying over a 18 months old M3 sedan, CBU.
Please advice me on whether there is any big issue about the CBU version & the price that i should pay for it.
Thanks! greatly appreciated!!

You can try reading back V5 & V6 of this thread for the CBU Mazda 3.

As for the price I think it should be at least 25% depreciation from the new price for a 18 months old car. But the new price should not be from the CBU new price, it should be from CKD new price. As the CBU spec is between GL and HS the CKD reference price should be the average of GL and HS.

CKD ref price = (105 + 120)/2 = 112,500
Used CBU car price = 75% x 112,500 = RM84,300

IMO this should be the fair price. Of course some owners want to base their depreciation on the price they paid but when there is a cheaper CKD version they should take a haircut.
