It works like any normal car you trade in. They give you a value for your old car. If you are not happy with the value try to sell direct.

So what was your average cost per year maintaining your Mazda 3?
*
Ok thanks.1st 3 year foc since free service. After that just normal service and wear and tear. Not much i guess

From a colleague who bought Mazda 3. His undercarriage has rusted and when he brought back to Mazda apparently it is a common problem.

may i know how did Mazda solve the problem? notworthy.gif

Guys is this info still correct? I went to Bermaz Glenmarie and they said the warranty is 1 year or 20,000km for the battery. I'm already past that and don't feel like forking out RM700 for a battery because I don't use the i-stop at all.
*
my case which already over 20k km and more than 1 year, 1year 1month to be exact, still able to claim a free battery..

Whoah 😳
Get a second opinion. I'm not sure of any workshop that's a specialist for Mazda. I remember someone mentioned about a M3 club which have their own recommended workshops.

But do get a second opinion. It may be just a O2 sensor that's faulty which won't cost much to replace. For 10k, might as well get an aftermarket exhaust system for extra vroooom 😆

at beginning they also thought that O2 sensor faulty but after scan with their tool turn out catalys converter that is faulty...they told me if i only change the O2 sensor that only last for a year and if i change the whole set it can prevent the problem for 2-3 years...i don know they want to cheat me or what cause i don know much about car...

If changing the sensor is solving the problem, might as well do it and see how it goes after 1 year.

Honestly their diagnosis is very lame and stupid. Please get a second opinion at different place.

The catalytic converter is not essential to the operation of your car but being a good citizen and caring for the environment it feels good to get it fixed if only to get rid of the engine fault light.

But rm10K to fix it? And only for 2-3 years? Tell the SC to take their estimate and shaft it up where the sun doesn't shine.

Most official SCs are the same. They overcharge, are bad at diagnosis and refuse to fix anything. They only know how to replace whole set.

Unfortunately I don't know of any Mazda specialist but looking for solution outside is certainly the way to go.

Try 2 tankful of good petrol + fuel system cleaner each tank. Give it a good hard drive for about 100km in order for the ECU to give a richer fuel/air mix, a cheap way i learned from a car enthusiast before really plonking money for a part replacement.

service interval is same like typical japanese car, not much different even though it uses more advanced engine tech and more electronics
