Seems like many Mazda 3 owners are super-sensitive to sounds. Nyek-nyek sound, kruk-kruk sound, tik-tik sound, sound of exhaust cooling, sound of engine louder when cold, sound of soft hiss at high speed and now this. Of all these only the kruk-kruk sound merits fixing. The nyek-nyek sound which only occur when going over a bump in the wet is not worth bothering for non-fussy owners.

I think this super-sensitivity to sounds is because CKD M3 has surprisingly low defects compared to Honda Civic X and HRV where owners have plenty of defects to complain about.

I didn't notice any cluck sound when starting but if it doesn't affect my car's normal functioning I really wouldn't bother.

Haha..

I guess when people pay premium dollar expect 'almost perfection' - l tink Rolls Royce oso got complaints one.. biggrin.gif

Apparently I am too conservative about the add-on prices to those extra features on Hi-Spec Sedan.

Hopefully there will be extra discount towards the year-end sales (may be not) due to the launching of the CIVIC X this year.  Previously M3 may enjoy exclusive market segment due to poor sales from 9th Gen CIVIC and less features but over priced ALTIS.  If M3 market share drop tremendously because of CIVIC X, probably Mazda Malaysia need to work harder to push their sales to counter HONDA attack.

What I am trying to say is Mazda can be lansi about their little discount due to no competition earlier due to HONDA lack of their star product in the C segment market.

Hope to see some changes in Mazda sales strategy at the year end sales which will definitely benefit Mazda hardcore fans here.

LOL..

Hardcore fans will buy it irrespective of % or not..
But seriously, you are thinking too much like an accountant.. in the end, its only money n you wouldnt be able to take it with you.. live a little..

2nd hand 18" OEM rims with good condition is priced around 1.3k to 1.5k without tyres, it wont be more than 1.8k

18" rims is very heavy, better go for aftermarket 18" if you have the budget tongue.gif

Thanks for the feedback..
Agree.. but sometimes they want the ori look and you can't get that with after market rims
Also.. it would be more expensive [by a lot] unless you go for replica ones..

Wa...2nd hand ori rims so expensive...  mega_shok.gif

I once gatal go ask a reputable seller here for this wheel :
http://konigwheels.com/wheels/flow-formed-wheels/rennform/

Costs only RM2000 for whole set and some more this wheel is lighter by about 25% for 18 x 8 size.

If you read through the details, although it is rather affordable, it is not low quality stuffs. They licensed Enkei's MAT process for this range of rims. So quite a steal  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Supply and demand.. I personally don't think its overtly expensive - l am sure if you were to order from Mazda, itll be more..

Rims are kinda like buying handbags , sad to say.. sometimes its the brand that counts.. l guess the only way to know is if you were to use it yourself - on paper, it does look good la..

From a colleague who bought Mazda 3. His undercarriage has rusted and when he brought back to Mazda apparently it is a common problem.

Wow,

How old is the car? Should not happen in more recent cars.. sad.gif

i am planning to upgrade my rim for my 2015 mazda3 (from 18inch alloy silver color) to 19 inch gun metal mazda 6 rim.

pls advice whether i should upgrade mazda oem rim or shall i get some other non oem rims.
*
You didn't mention why you want to upgrade..

Going one up is not bad, but there are trade offs.. FC is one ; comfort another - pros would be a tad better dry roadholding..
If I were you, l'd look at lite, after market rims of the same size.. 18inchers are decent enough already, l shudder to think how much a 19inch tyre would cost when time to change it..

i thought going up one inch would give better grip and i like dark rims. my car is silver and the silver alloy rim does not look that good.
and i love the mazda 6 gun metal rim (dark colored rim).
this is the reason why i wanted to change.
if i buy an non oem rim i wont sell off my original oem rims so i think need to fork out more for the lighter non oem rims
i thought pushing my oem and getting another oem rim in return.
my tyres are still new (10 months old car only)

but i am confuse whether is it worth it or not. thats y wanted ask what you guys think about it
*

Oh..

If for looks, then black is even better.. no?
I like dark colored rims too, especially on a lite colored car.. but unfortunately, OE rims - other than tat it being the exact offset, is usually boringly designed or bloody heavy.. so for me, unless you really really love tat rim, l'd go for after market rims

My car is only 1 year 1 month, mileage only 21k and the battery just gave the istop blinking (orange) and triangle exclamation warning. Went to glenmarie HQ they said they no longer give battery exchange for free and the condition is now within 1 year and within 20k mileage. All the time when I purchased this car was told that if 1st battery kaput within 3 years SC will do a one to one exchange. Totally upset and felt cheated by this Bermaz. The company did not inform any of the owners for this newly implemented memo. They claim that this is effective on feb 1st 2017. The memo is only circulating among their staff internally and some SA. As a consumer with absolute rights, I felt cheated. If this is how Bermaz dealing with their customers, this will be my last Mazda with Bermaz.

Bro,

If you feel so bad about it, go complain to Consumer body.. wake tis f****rs up a bit..

I just came back from the Svc Center Federal highway. My car is 15k Mileage, 1yr 7 months.
Was told the same thing, need to pay for the batt as warranty only 1 yr or 20k.

Firstly i have been using istop for only 20% of my total time as i usually off it.
My car only 15k mileage, hardly use istop, and now battery weak/low.

Svc center asking me to change for 500+ after the discount.

i said NO. why should i change... totally waste of money and no savings benefit from it.
*
LOL,

I feel for u but eventually.. you'll need to change the battery, its either by the SC or outside.. once it dies, you wont be able to move the car.. I guess u can get those power banks tat can start a car - but tat's a short term solution only...

but arent the istop and car batt two seperate batteries that work independently?
im still able to start my car without issues although the istop light is orange blinking and warning sign logo is out.

WHat if i permanently want istop disabled without a batt?

I dont see a point of needing to change the istop battery to only manually disable the feature everytime i start my car.

Sorry,

Not familiar wif new mazda engines.. but my understanding is its a heftier battery tat handles the stop/start tingy hence the price [ since say a myvi's cost only wat 150/- .. ]
My wife drives a jazz hybrid n its stop/start system is powered by the hybrid battery - starting the car engine uses the regular battery, thou'.. n tat battery lasted a good 3 years [ changed it cos they=SC techs say it was getting weak - prbbly can last a coupla mths more.. ]

Hi owners of mazda 3, I recently noticed a buldge on 3 of my factory toyo tyres. As it all happened at the same time, I suspect that it may be a defect on behalf of mazda and toyo. It is also a major safety concern now for me.

How do I approach Bermaz (Glenmarie) regarding this defect because I think they will try to weasel their way out saying its not under warranty. In my view, this is a defect straight from when I got the car since it all happened at the same time.

My car is delivered Dec 2015 and currently have 18k mileage with no late service intervals.

I'm prepare to escalate the matter to facebook mazda if they give me an unsatisfactory answer but for now I wish some fellow owners can give me some pointers on how to bring up the problem to them so that it is handled properly.

Thanks.

Onus is how do u prove it? If Customer Service were utmost, they will approve it but as it is, l very much doubt you have a leg to stand on..
