Guys I'm new in this thread. Seriously considering buying over a 18 months old M3 sedan, CBU. Please advice me on whether there is any big issue about the CBU version & the price that i should pay for it. Thanks! greatly appreciated!!

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Aug 23 2016, 07:29 PM) You can try reading back V5 & V6 of this thread for the CBU Mazda 3. As for the price I think it should be at least 25% depreciation from the new price for a 18 months old car. But the new price should not be from the CBU new price, it should be from CKD new price. As the CBU spec is between GL and HS the CKD reference price should be the average of GL and HS. CKD ref price = (105 + 120)/2 = 112,500 Used CBU car price = 75% x 112,500 = RM84,300 IMO this should be the fair price. Of course some owners want to base their depreciation on the price they paid but when there is a cheaper CKD version they should take a haircut. Thanks kenny for such a response! we did nego around the price u've mentioned. its so hard to walk away from a mazda car the minute u seat in one tho. one thing to note is that the mileage is very low and everything is in a pristine condition. Too bad the ckd version screwed its mkt value.

Hi guys, previously i posted about getting a 18 months old cbu m3.
I would like to a full inspection of the car before sending it for puspakom.
Anyone has any recommendation sc / mazda specialist that can do a good job for a resonable fee? Thx!
( it is still under free service, can always go back there as well )

QUOTE(kluseng @ Aug 24 2016, 11:37 AM) Ask to see all his service records including the service booklet and invoices to see what has been done. If there are no major repairs should be OK. I'm not sure whether you can go to the Mazda SC where he does his service and ask them for the full record but it's worth a try. 18 months is very soon to sell a car. What is is reason for selling? Many expats lost their jobs selling their new car due to the the oil market. i did call up mazda and everything is up to date. For me i Would prefer a full inspection prior to puspakom to avoid any issue that wasnt brought up previously
