I wander whether the new FL can sell well with such a high pricing. Mazda has been increasing their price non stop since last year.

The GVC 2.0L GL is same price as Civic 1.8S
The GVC 2.0L HS is same price as Civic 1.5T

Why cannot sell? You are getting a better car for the same price.

Malaysians don't buy car for their specs & proven specs.

Most of them buy due to brand & discounts.

If follow Malaysian mentality on discounts, maybe have to raise price by another RM 5k, and a few times a year give RM5k discounts to make Malaysians feel like they got a good deal.

I think the Mazda 3s are really good value for their money. At around RM 110k, it already has 6 airbags, rear seats can be folded down (unlike Honda Civic), and does not use a CVT (unlike Altis and Civic). There already a number of CVT issues popping up on Honda and Toyota forums internationally.

Can't be helped as getting a GOOD DEAL is the main priority. Getting bad service, non responsive SE doesn't seem to be a problem as long as the deal is good.

Furthermore, its norm that Good Service = Good Discount nowadays (irrespective of the SE service quality, responsiveness, resourcefulness) ... its a sad state at the moment for Car Sales Exec.

talking about this, Mazda sales agent really not bother about getting sales, reluctant to approach customer, or maybe because I am wearing short pants with t-shirt?

luckily I've made appoitment in advance, or else I will be lost in setia city mall and no one bother to guide me to the test drive counter at SCCC. There is no signboards also guiding ppl from the mall to test drive counter. Not very well organised.

having said that, after sales service is important, I hope I will not have problem with Mazda after sales service.

Lots of new Sales Exec nowadays are actually just order takers, and not the professional Car Sales exec.

I'm guessing in future, selling cars would be maybe like Air Asia. No Frills. Tick what you want for extra cost or Tick what you don't want for extra discounts.

they really need to buck up their knowledge and service level.

it will be great if Mazda can provide something like that for customer to choose what they want in their car.

most of the sales people dont know what they talking about, nowadays there are tons of reviews and walkthrough in youtube for most of the car models, we can get most of the info from there

i visit showroom just to have an actual feel, dont bother with those explanation from them, actually they wont bother to attend to me in the first place laugh.gif which is a good thing for me since i can take my own sweet time without them annoying me

Have to agree with you on the comfort and ease of use of EPB. Furthermore it saves space plus other clever stuff like auto hill brake, auto release, etc etc etc that make driving much much easier. When I test-drove cars that have them, wowwwww veli nice  thumbup.gif

I'm just not convinced yet with the reliability. I have family members and older friends with upscale German cars that had the EPBs suddenly rosak out of the blue.

However this is a move in the right direction for Mazda IMO. In 5-10 years it will probably become a standard feature. Just I don't trust the tech yet for at least 5 years. Same with GVC. Wait for the public 'beta testers' first for them to make the tech more reliable and more importantly, cheaper hehe rclxms.gif

Hopefully I'm wrong about the EPB reliability (this is Mazda we're talking about, reliable brand)...we'll see.

As far as i know.. GVC is a software, not a tech.. As long as the software has been written well, it will be fine..

I make sure I dress up myself when I go buy car.

My meaning of dressing up myself is as follow

1. Old Comfortable tee-shirts
2. Shorts / Bermudas
3. Slippers

Guys, just got myself a M3 1.6 (BL)

So far all is good, planning to get a rubber seal to reduce road noise, and to add in front strut bar from UR.

So far that's my shopping list, any comment on the rubber seal?

And and other goot upgrades for this car?

Are you sure it's merely a software? I thought the hardware would be integrated with it like a firmware.

As I understand it... It's mainly software. However and as you've pointed out. With the latest models, there have been hardware changes done here and there, that enable said software work even better. So yeah, its a combo thing. Can't truly have one without the other. Besides, even if purely software, I doubt it'd be loaded into older models.

If you watch the GVC test video.. In the Mazda 6, there's a ON / OFF switch for the GVC so the drivers are able to test with and without GVC..

just test driven the new m3 gvc, for those who get the non-gvc version there is nothing to feel regret, the GVC give very subtle changes, the driving dynamics remain the same for GVC and non-GVC, but the colored HUD is nicer, and steering is more comfortable to hold though
*
thanks bro! exactly, the GVC being tested oversea and i believe the GVC engaged once you have a sharp turn at certain speed. anyway it just some minor changes zoom zoom all the way!
