No one can justify 16" or 18" is better. When the manufacturer can provide you such a setup, it is safe to go, it's more to personal view. Whichever you feel comfortable to go with, just go ahead.

16" with higher profile definitely provides more comfort to driver and passenger, i think road noise also lesser than the 18".
18" definitely creates more cabin noise due to the Toyo UHP tyres, better response due to harder sidewall, less tyres flex, it's more to provide you a greater feedback on road condition.

some members even downgrade to 17" to achieve both. But IMO, I will not go lower than 17" because 16" is a nono to me. I feel it is a bit undersize for such an elegant vehicle. Cheers.

I hardly see new mazda 3 on the road now especially with V plate. What happen to their sales. Used to be quite hot few years ago.

Ya. I kinda agree. Mazda holds very firm on their pricing. I doubt the new face lift can do better as the changes are subtle except the G Vectoring.
Also i hear they control the spare parts and only ori are available in Malaysia. Unlike others they can buy OEM parts at a much cheaper rate.

Not just Mazda la, you'll find most car's original tires are come in odd size.. why? Fuel economy ma... and also if those who die die also want to look for the original size, what to do? pay more la...

Previously my bro's city tires also with odd size punya, if i recall correctly, it was 185/55/16. Not many choices out there..

Anyway, the Mazda 18" you can replace with 225/45/18, it's a more common size and lots of options available in the market. Refer to earlier post, we have few pricing on tires too..

Mazda 3 is a good car, my heart is actually go for mazda 3 but my brain telling me civic is more worth , so in malaysia, ppl always get worth one , bo bian T_T

Not only that. Battery lagi expensive. Due to start stop m3 uses q85 bat if not mistaken and each cost at least Rm  700. This bat lasted only slightly more than a year.
Sometime it keeps me wandering the purpose of hving istop when u ended paying more than the fuel you can save.

V9~ expect M3 facelift at this version !
