QUOTE(driftkids @ Jul 23 2016, 12:19 PM) Any sifu here can advice is there any aftermarket mod that side mirror auto tilt down when reverse like those in bmw? I did that with EA autoworks, PM them for quotation. I dont know how does the BMW auto tilt behave. Mine is when put in Reverse gear, only left side mirror tilt down to allows you see the lower portion. Else, it back to normal angle.thanks. Cheaper method, go accessories shop to buy those sphere alike mirror and stick at your side mirror. QUOTE(jucl @ Jul 24 2016, 10:15 AM) Why is that GL rim size is smaller 2inch compare to HS? Usually between HS n LS the size difference is only 1inch. GL look so weird on 16inch... Lol. You should direct this question to Bermaz, not here. Mazda has not been as usual as other brand. Ppl complain why other brands able to give huge rebates while Mazda rebates are just so little. This post has been edited by toonny: Jul 24 2016, 11:33 AM |

QUOTE(liamlain @ Sep 28 2016, 04:31 PM) Do you guys join the Mazda 3 Club, or Mazda 3 Skyactiv Club? There are few members able to source ori or afternarket parts for our car, be it new or previous gen. For reverse cam, there is 1 member who had been helping members to install. He owned a CBU soul red unit too. |

No one can justify 16" or 18" is better. When the manufacturer can provide you such a setup, it is safe to go, it's more to personal view. Whichever you feel comfortable to go with, just go ahead.
16" with higher profile definitely provides more comfort to driver and passenger, i think road noise also lesser than the 18". 18" definitely creates more cabin noise due to the Toyo UHP tyres, better response due to harder sidewall, less tyres flex, it's more to provide you a greater feedback on road condition. some members even downgrade to 17" to achieve both. But IMO, I will not go lower than 17" because 16" is a nono to me. I feel it is a bit undersize for such an elegant vehicle. Cheers. This post has been edited by toonny: Mar 28 2017, 04:40 PM |

QUOTE(peace_lover @ Mar 28 2017, 05:34 PM) a little more fuel efficient, more comfort ride, less tyre noise but compromise a bit of look and sporty handling then 16" You want to say i wrote too much isn't it? Hahaha. look nicer, not that comfortable, more tyre noise, more sporty handling then 17", 18" betul? But the way, 18 aint not comfortable, my 60 y/o parents also never complain about that. Tyre noise can be reduce depends on which tyre you use. Toyo that comes with the car is noisy! Over time you'll still get used to it. This post has been edited by toonny: Mar 28 2017, 06:27 PM |

QUOTE(rockets @ Mar 30 2017, 12:28 PM) Any user changed their tyres following original size 215/45/18? Maybe we should make a list here since this is a odd sized tyre and is quite rare. I for one would like to stick to this size and not go wider, I like abit of side movement when cornering rather than absolute grip and the beauty of this cars handling is you get good feedback and can feel it's limit. Odd size means limited options. I will always look for something better / cheaper / best value available in the market. So I guess I'll start. Feel free to add other sizes too, I'll compile a list. Tyre/Shop/Price/Buy Year 215/45/18 Toyo T1R - Tek Ming Sunway - RM540 (2015) Goodyear F1D5 - Tek Ming Sunway - RM450 (2015) 225/45/18 Updates: 225/45/18 Tyres Pro Malaysia (price updated 28/03/2017) 1. Landsail LS588 @rm259 QUOTE(sfuse @ Mar 30 2017, 02:01 PM) Guys~ for those Mazda old or new owner that having warranty of 5 years or 3 years: This news has been circulated since January. What to do? Bear the own cost lo.. You can get cheaper battery outside with price range starting RM 450 - 700. Model Q85 is for our car. I myself already replaced after the battery lasted for 1 year and 5 months, mileage 28k km.Battery and Wiper has been withdrawn on 1st Feb 2017, and remain covearage on Battery 12 months warranty or 20,000 mileage. Compare to previous coverage was one(1) time free replacement battery within 3 years warranty period. Even Dato seri Ben Yeoh said "Battery & Wiper on us" in news. This information has been internal circlulated within their own service centre but not to sales side of Mazda. Nowadays, not to believe or trust those Sales person telling you that battery and wiper fully covered, Battery one(1) time replacement within 3 years or 5 years. Mazda going to play games with you. Not believe? you may ask Mazda Glenmarie HQ. So if you still luv Mazda, prepare MYR 600-800 monies after 12months or 20,000 KM. Because iStop will kill your battery quickly. Got my battery with Ideal Battery, shop location @ Jalan Klang Lama, comes with 1 year warranty. Installation and delivery at my doorstep was included (FOC) during replacement. For the wiper, get a silicone wiper then it could be good for at least 1 year. Non-branded will only cost you RM 40-60 per pair, while those branded like PIAA and Bosch could easily Rm 80 - 2xx for silicone type. QUOTE(b.tharma @ Mar 30 2017, 02:51 PM) Welcome bro.. QUOTE(sfuse @ Mar 31 2017, 11:14 AM) Hi toonny Sigh.. I feel you bro. Becoz my warning sign was appeared during mid of Jan, and after drove for some distance, the msg gone. Then come to CNY, it was 29th of Jan, and the msg appear again. Thought of going to visit SC after CNY for replacement, and got the bad news policy has changed. Dem it.. I ald changed, cost rm600 in SC. what to do, mazda after sales & service and withdrawn the so called "GoodWill" for the 1 time replacement battery. Just don't like the way they cheated on customer for sales and changed the term. Since new car until now has been sent in and out for front lower armbush creaky sounds and rattling noise inside dashboard, still unsolve. Just "kao peh, kao bu". So, no choice lo. Bear with it, sourced the battery from outside to lessen the pain. Kluk kluk (9 months) and ngek ngek (half year) sound has been resolved at the moment. QUOTE(peace_lover @ Apr 27 2017, 09:22 AM) and the tyre size also, odd and expensive... wonder why they want to use that tyre size, any sifu can explain? Not just Mazda la, you'll find most car's original tires are come in odd size.. why? Fuel economy ma... and also if those who die die also want to look for the original size, what to do? pay more la... Previously my bro's city tires also with odd size punya, if i recall correctly, it was 185/55/16. Not many choices out there.. Anyway, the Mazda 18" you can replace with 225/45/18, it's a more common size and lots of options available in the market. Refer to earlier post, we have few pricing on tires too.. |

QUOTE(peace_lover @ Apr 27 2017, 05:56 PM) increase the width from 215 to 225 will increase tyre noise and increase fuel consumption? sorry for noob question. Not noticing the increase of FC. same figure achieved as before.but i think won't be significant.. Tyre noise is depends on the tire of your choice.. Some has harder compound ofcoz will create more noise.. QUOTE(multisync888 @ Apr 27 2017, 10:31 PM) May I know if Mazda3 2016 Meteor Grey is a metallic or solid color?? MG is metallic color..I read that Mazda3 2017 need to pay few hundreds more for metallic .. I'm confuse coz thought solid is white.. thx only the White is SOLID WHITE. QUOTE(jucl @ Apr 27 2017, 11:27 PM) Not only that. Battery lagi expensive. Due to start stop m3 uses q85 bat if not mistaken and each cost at least RmĀ 700. This bat lasted only slightly more than a year. Before you keep spreading the battery cost at least RM 700, well, here are some info for you. Varta Q85 start-stop battery only cost RM 477 (inclusive of 6% GST @April), ATLAST Q85 also less than RM 500.. SC ofcoz more expensive, they're giving Delkor and well, SC's price, never is the cheap one.Sometime it keeps me wandering the purpose of hving istop when u ended paying more than the fuel you can save. Now there are alot options in the market, do some research and you'll always find it is still within the acceptable zone. Compares to conventional normal battery, now cost how much? 220? 280? And why the start stop battery is much more expensive? Battery is wear and tear part too, not all of us lasted for SLIGHTLY MORE THAN A YEAR, at least mine good for 1 yr and 5 months.. QUOTE(peace_lover @ Apr 28 2017, 09:21 AM) Not sure the warranty policy on the new model. But for the 1st gen Skyactiv Mazda3, battery warranty term has now changed to 1 year or 20k km, whichever comes first. Free maintenance, basically is on servicing only.. Take note, this car is come with kruk kruk and ngek ngek sound package as well. hahaha |

QUOTE(peace_lover @ Apr 28 2017, 10:21 AM) Most likely everyone will encounter this issue. It's the part defect. However, there are members who claimed the noise are gone after parts replacement. It takes time to allow "them" to present to you..Me, yes. Kluk kluk is from bump stopper, or absorber mounting (appear during first month of ownership). Problem resolved after bump stopper replacement. Ngek ngek only appears when rainy days (appears on 9th month of ownership), where the lower arm bushes joint got wet and when you go over speed bumps, it will creates ngek ngek noise due to the friction / movement. trade in is not suggested due to shop always chop the consumer. hahaha..
Like what Ginny88 suggest, maybe announce at the group, and see who is interested. However, been asking tire shops about trading in.. But under what condition they will likely to take in? It's when you are going to purchase sport rim from them. Trade in price can be ranging 500 - 1000 depending on your rims condition. But take note, endup you will still need to fork out RM 1.5k +- for new rims.. |
