what is these talk about the iceman
that is hakkinen not raikkonen

plus i remember that the class shown by hakkinen after that
instead of going to the pit slamming the helmet brows.gif whistling.gif
or keep the helmet on, go back to the garage ignoring interviewer, and the splitting of the back door brows.gif whistling.gif

he show true class equals to the olden era racer thumbup.gif

He rather cry in the bush alone instead of going around smashing things up. remember Italy '99?

Added on March 29, 2007, 9:35 pmLewis Hamilton underlined his talent by clocking the fastest time in Thursday's testing at Malaysia.

The Brit was the quickest driver around a mostly wet Sepang circuit. The morning session was hindered by a wet track and a late afternoon shower left only a small window of dry running.

The McLaren driver recovered from an oil-leak at mid-day to set a best time of 1:35.918, which was approximately two-tenths of a second ahead of Mark Webber in the improving Red Bull RB3.

Another team that has struggled thus far is Toyota, managed to clock the third best time thanks to Ralf Schumacher's best lap.

Hamilton's time was seven-tenths slower than Kimi Raikkonen's Wednesday best, but this was due to the changeable weather conditions.

The Finnish driver sat out the Thursday session and was replaced by Brazilian team-mate Felipe Massa who managed the fifth fastest time of the day.

Jenson Button in the Honda completed a mammoth 92 laps as the Japanese outfit look to move in the right direction.

BMW's Nick Heidfeld had an eventful day as his car caught fire following an oil leak.

All the teams with the exception of Toro Rosso have opted to continue the test for an extra day and will be running on Friday.

Thursday's Test Times from Sepang

01. Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes (B) 1:35.918 57

02. Webber Red Bull-Renault (B) 1:36.138 62

03. R.Schumacher Toyota (B) 1:36.700 69

04. Liuzzi Toro Rosso-Ferrari (B) 1:36.712 56

05. Massa Ferrari (B) 1:36.947 64

06. Rosberg Williams-Toyota (B) 1:37.070 71

07. Button Honda (B) 1:37.472 92

08. Davidson Super Aguri-Honda (B) 1:37.606 44

09. Heidfeld BMW Sauber (B) 1:38.551 35

10. Kovalainen Renault (B) 1:39.654 20

For a wet track that IS fast

Added on March 29, 2007, 9:39 pmAccording to autosport, the teams have agreed to extend the testing session by another day due to bad weather. Only STR did not agree with the 1 day extension

Some not so nice to hear news........

BMW Sauber's test day goes up in smoke
After some rain in the early morning the track dried out quickly but had lost some of its rubber and grip developed during the first two days of testing. After 35 laps in the BMW Sauber on used tyres at 12:00 hrs an oil leak caused a fire on Nick Heidfeld's car.

Although he had parked the car nearby some marshals it took them a long time to extinguish the fire which caused a lot of damage. After almost four hours of repair work, the car was ready to run again but the skies opened for a downpour which lasted almost until the end of the session.
Cliquez ici...

Like several other teams, the team has decided to extend the Sepang test for one more day. Nick Heidfeld will continue to drive tomorrow. The weather forecast looks encouraging.
