QUOTE(PetroToxin @ Jan 25 2007, 08:00 PM) So actually, Is the a temporary issue which will be solved after the submarine cables or what? Please tell me its temporary It is NOT temporary. It is permanent. TMNet will never stop throttling p2p now that they have started. Why should they stop cos now they are making more money.

QUOTE(jaclyn @ Jan 25 2007, 09:46 PM) BTW, is there anyway to uninstall this thing? Or i just don't open startServer and set the proxy server to the original ones is it? no nid uninstall, is juz a standalone javascript. if u dont start it, means it will not start. if u dowan to use the proxy, juz disable proxy in your torrent client.

hey guys, i've been having a similar problem since today. but it doesn't say "connection closed by peer". Rather, it says "downloading", just that seeds and peers are all 0. I tried the paw server thingy but it doesn't change anything.....not sure if I even know how to run it properly.... any idea what's wrong?

Hi all, I'm new in this post here but was a reader for some time (2 years). I was also affected by the 'throttling' over utorrent just this few days. Today was worse (0) and I googled around looking for help and I chanced upon this software. Tor,Privoxy and Vidalia is a freeware. Read it here - http://wiki.noreply.org/noreply/TheOnionRo...0816a114012bde0Download here - http://tor.eff.org/download.html.ensorry if you think I'm spamming, but I'm back with my trackers now dl speed about 20 (not much) but ok lor. Just trying to help, dun flame.

Hmm, I just realised my error msg is "Unable to map UPnP Port". I got this from the log. This is the only message there.... what's wrong?
edit: Um... feel so noobish. It worked. severely reduced speed than before... but it worked. Thou art godlike. Thank you.
edit2: spoke too soon. i see all the peers. speed still 0. can't believe it would be capped like this.

Just a note to whoever might be using Tor: DO NOT use it for peer-to-peer connections! Only tracker connections please!
To Socratesman: Are you using PAW or Proxo? If using Proxo what user-agent are you using? I'm using Proxo at the moment and I'm getting 'Torrent not registered with this tracker' errors with private trackers only.

just out of curiosity, i see many screenshots here without using the "black marker pen" to "highlight" the torrents perhaps a little caution is in order? what with these efforts by the ISP to spoil the fun? btw, the proxy server/faking the user-agent does solve tracker status problem but not speed. nice1.

Err... works now... So how do I conffigure it for Azureus? Also, do I need to change my connection for my Firefox v2.0? Somehow seems difficult for Firefow to connect. Sorry, not good with these kind of tweakings.

With a bit of thinking, you should be able to set your azureus You don't have to use this for firefox, completely unnecessary.
