i can get it work at uTorrent, but cant work on eMule and Limewire. I set their proxy to localhost and 8080. any idea?
btw, i see that the user agent is blank, shud i set it to other??
and another thing is, are there anyway to make the PAW server start and minimized? i wan to hide that command prompt window...

i restarted my system and stop running proxy...seems like it can detect oversea tracker...hope it will run...fingers cross

Thanks for all the solutions offered. I tried both PAW and Proxomitron but all i can do is connect to trackers, the only time I can DL is when there were local seeders. I can 'see' the overseas ones but sadly can't connect to them.
Tried using BitSpirit, emulate IE as user agent to no avail.Same thing, I can see the seeders but can't connect.
Tried changing client from Bitlord to uTorrent, the same.
With NNTP being throttled too, if this remains after 23rd then the only I can do is downgrade my package to the cheapest one.
My usually dependable Gnutella network is pretty useless too at the moment.

This is what I did step by step, can you tell me if I missed something or got the order wrong or if I should redo anything.

1. First I took "paw_release_0.27.zip" from the first link, not rapidshare.

2. Uzipped it and clicked on startserver.bat. (startserver.bat flashed and dissapeared so I installed the latest Java runtime and then it worked properly)

3. The commandprompt remains open with only one line, it's location, showing:
F:\Documents and Settings\Paul\Desktop\paw-release-0.27>java -jar paw-server.jar (the rest of the window is empty)



4. Next I opened the connection settings in Utorrent and changed
Proxy Server Type: HTTP, Proxy: localhost and Port: 8080

5. Because I want to follow your screenshot exactly, I removed the 'tick' from Enable UPnP port mapping, disabling it. My port used for incoming connections is 56533.

At the bottom of Utorrent, my DHT satus is green and indicates 'Network OK'.



I didn't do anything to the 'startGUI.bat' or the 'conf/headers-request'. And haven't done anything with the user-agent. If I need to, can you let me know.


Before TMnet's throttling I could get 50kb on a well seeded torrent, now I'm struggling with below 2kb for over a month. I have not seen any real improvement after making the changes above so I just want to know I've done all I needed to do.

Mine crashed often, even with the latest Sun Java runtime installed. So I've switched to Proxomitron.

Excuse me for my noobness , may I ask is this only temporary or permanent, should we use proxy all the time?

does paws work on vista? I cant seem to open it, the cmd close instantly after i click on startserver.bat

Just follow the steps.

What do you want to configure? By default you shouldn't need to configure anything.

It should work on vista, as long as you have JAVA installed. Go download it from the java website.

Does this method work with Tuotu? µTorrent works fine without using any User Agent but Tuotu isn't connecting to any trackers.
