Tried playing around, same result, can't detect any WAN.

Didn't expect my ws880 to die in less than 3 years. sad.gif
In Dual WAN, set the Primary WAN to Ethernet LAN then Secondary WAN to WAN as per the screenshot below

Then in IPTV, you need to configure the VLAN 500 to Ethernet Port 1. Sorry I can't share screenshot in here because I don't want to submit the change to my router

Anyone dares to try this:
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....ucket=12#detail

It's pre-flashed with AsusWRT-Merlin biggrin.gif

200MHz faster than RT-AC68U
The only downside is it looks like boobs laugh.gif

Yeap, saw that too
And with that kind of design, it's hard to mount a fan as the exhaust holes is at the top laugh.gif

Ya, and BCM4709A cpu is kinda out dated, struggles while running 800mbps download, MT7621 perform better in handling gigabit speed

I ran speedtest and pingportal at the same time, monitor ping while downloading and uploading speed test
CPU Ping(+download)(+upload)
MT7621 3ms(9ms) (15ms)
BCM4708 3ms(14ms) (24ms)

Also, MT7621 can hit max download speed within a second, 0% CPU usage. 4708 can only hit max speed after 3 seconds, like climbing hill, slowly increase speed, 100% CPU usage

4708/4709 was once a high-end CPU, but now MT7621 is newer and cooler, with many accelerators, better for handling gigabit speed

That's why Broadcom replaced it with 4908 biggrin.gif

The Asuswrt-Merlin firmware for the Huawei WS880 would be a better choice.

Its performance is rock solid and its uptime can be a few hundred days if you do not encounter power interruption.

Here is the download link.

Sell your WS880 for cheap then get a used RT-AC68U/RT-AC87U/RT-AC88U from Taobao instead
XWRT-VORTEX no longer supports WS880. You will be stuck with an outdated firmware with bugs & security hole

You may say "it's fine even if I use outdated firmware" now but if one day someone managed to hack into your network & siphon your data then that will be the day you regret the bad decision you make today

It has been three and a half years since I first flashed my Huawei WS880 with Xwrt-Vortex firmware.

It has been running rock solid ever since.

Absolutely no problems at all. smile.gif

I've been using AC86U for a year now but still keeping the WS880 a backup.

Thanks for the recommendation back then bro. RM199 is steal!

Yes, it was really a steal at RM199 back then.

It has served me well these three and a half years and I hope this will continue. smile.gif
