Tp-Link may not have firmware update so often, if serious security issue happen, TP-Link will have update for that. smile.gif
They dont. They are well known for that
Take a look at TP-Link WR740N V1. They don't even bother releasing a firmware update to fix the vulnerabilites by reported by Fidus

Another case of TP-Link's refusal to provide firmware update on their end-of-life products:

Do you see a firmware update from TP-Link to fix the KRACK security issue on TP-Link WR1043ND V1?

Asus dont fix shedule reboot not working, how about that.
You are repeating the same issue over and over
Reboot scheduler problem is not a security loophole which can cause someone to be able to hack your network and gain your personal data

T-Mobile 1900 is Asus router, they do not provide firmware update do they?
They don't. Because the contract is for T-Mobile to provide the firmware update. Not ASUS
And T-Mobile does provide firmware updates to their customers

i belip every brand have their fair share of bad support
but TPlink is the worst where th v1 & v2 firmware can be totally different & they tend 2 gip up support for v1 whn v2 released

this is why external firmware like ddwrt, openwrt, tomato & asus merlin exist
gud supork is the sole reason why whn asus come in2 the market they can easily penetrate the market
& due 2 tat u can see y TPlink & dlink unable market their device at high price even the SKU is within the same tier with Asus & linksys

u should stop these toxic post already ur logic getting irrelevant

Asus should increase price further.
"in Malaysia" because many supporter biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif.

thn it will mark the death of TP link and Dlink, as they will fill in the price gap
there r so many clone of Asus & linksys router out there at far cheaper price of TP link & dlink

ppl still support them becauz they r cheaper,
however things might no stay the same with Tenda where it is far cheaper thn both of them

looking at wat u say, u just don't understand how business work

Bro, not so good after all biggrin.gif
We are not saying TP-Link's product is bad
But TP-Link's non-existant after sales support is what made them bad

T-Mobile AC1900 is Asus router, they do not provide firmware update, do they?
Tons of ppl complaint, how about that?
*
The router was customized to T-Mobile, T-Mobile bundled with their service (stock router) after contract end with T-Mobile collect back from customer and resell it, means this is 2nd hand good.

example:
You are selling your mobile phone to Abu, Abu resell it to Kumar, should you responsible for the warranty or product quality?

From my previous experience (starting from mobile broadband to Unifi), TP-Link product could not full fill my hunger for performance and stability drool.gif
Even with OpenWRT flash into the TP Link device, the stability really inconsistent. Until I met ASUS and Merlin firmware, my nightmare seems to be over.

Previously owned TP-Link device:
TL-WR1043NDv1
TL-WDR3320v1
MR3020v1
MR3420 v1, v2

Previously owned and still serving ASUS device:
RT-N13U B1
RT-N66U
RT-AC68U
RT-AC86U

Wish to try out Mikrotik but don't have any single clue when comes to picking the right device, configuration and $$$

Although i have bad experience with certain TP-Link routers, this model (TL-WR1043ND v2 - qualcomm chipset) is so far the most stable TP-Link model i ever tried. Works even better with OpenWRT flashed, hassle free and no connection issue for 3 years until recently i moved to Broadcom based router (WS880 and AC68u). I personally recommend Broadcom and Qualcomm based router as they tend to be stable on long run, just my 2 cents.
