Yes, that's the only way to determine the chipset used. But by doing so, you will void the warranty as well. So think twice.

Can i hijack this thread for an answer.
I am using DG965OT | E6600 | 1GB 667 |stock VGA + sound | cooler master heatsink fan (meant for prescot) DI5 series. This is meant for HTPC with occassionaly encoding on the fly. What happens is that when the processor is loaded, the noise is like vacuum cleaner. This defeats the purpose. I paid 55 buck for the heatsink fan and realised it is useless (from lowyat). Can I just replace the fan (90mm right) to the one which is about 30 dBA/2000 rpm/35 cfm. Is this enuf ? assuming I load the process 100 % (and I dont oc) or should i just replace with another heatsink? what to do with this heat sink. |

E6400 3.8Ghz = 15.765 sec E6600 3.4Ghz = 15.000 sec * sec in Super Pi * Why higher clock speed but SPi reading higher?? I tot tht 2 mb cache only bring less than 5% perf different. E6600 and E6400 architecture is so different?? i tot they are same only E6600 have higher multiplier. Pls some pro enlighten me please This post has been edited by yehlai: Jan 4 2007, 10:54 PM |
