finally i can run my pc on e6600 @ 3.6Ghz (400fsb) but at 1.6875vcpu!!! it passed SuperPI n orthos (less than 1 hour n lazy wanna wait) with stock HSF but open side panel n got 6 units of 80mm fans blowing (powered by another PSU)... using kingston hyper-x 6400 (spd 1:1, 4-4-4-12 @ 2.0vdimm)... but i lowered it back 333fsb with stock vcpu, vmch n vichio but vdimm at 2.0v spd 4:5 (ram clock at 832.5MHz)... OC at bios... how to clock to over 400fsb with lower vcpu??? can be done??? my oc skill very limited only...

^ic ic.. coz lastime im using the AW9D-Max, highest FSB i can b0ot via bi0s less than 350
if urs can do 400FSB, its should be nice, IMO

if u can get stable at 3.4Ghz at lower vcore, that already nice cool.gif

hey beastx,

the 69'C temp is at full load? or idle temp?
cause for my setup, at 2.1Ghz only...and idle, the temp is around 60'C already...

and I'm using TAT...so when i start to push the CPU at full load, the temp will go up till about 79 or 80'C...

current setting is 266FSB @ 8x multiplier... if i push my FSB to 333, i'll get 2.6Ghz...but my idle temp is up to 75'C around there...

what could be possibly wrong? or is it the ambient temp at Japan is way much cooler than Malaysia, thus you're getting better temp reading?

i'm using Zalman CNPS9500 heatsink fan btw....

Ambient temperature was around mid teens (12 to 17 C).. now 7 to 12C.. can see your own breath...

It is the load temperature, never exceed 75C...even when room is at mid 20C. Getting all 4 cores passing orthos is a challange... core no3 would give up in minutes... while othe 3 can go to 3.8GHz and above without much fuss. Heatsink Scynthe Infinity.

how did you apply your thermal paste?

what thermal paste are you using?

at 2.66Ghz, my CPU is already at around 75'C for idle...
so it's gonna be a big challenge for me... tongue.gif

it idle at 41c (table fan + air cond) but 45c (air cond) without table fan.

i tried lowered the vcpu the but the system became unstable n couldn't run orthos. any idea? i'm using running this in my room now with aircond n room temp is 24c. using stock hsf but open side panel n with a table fan blowing directly to cpu. waiting for new cpu cooler!

setting 2
oc: 400mhz fsb (3.60ghz)
ram: 400mhz (1:1)
timing: 4-4-4-12
vcpu: 1.6875v
vdimm: 2.00v
vmch: 1.45v
vichio: 1.70v

at 400mhz fsb (3.60ghz) @ 1.6875 things became nasty. it idle at 50c (very low aircond, room temp is 28c + 6 low rpm 80mm fan blowing direcly) in my ofis. i have'nt try to lower vmch n vichio. this setting passed orthos for 1+ hour but lazy to continue. i wanna know if anyway can lower the vcpu? it's a bit crazy at nearly 1.7v. will better hsf help lowering vcpu?

both setting passed memtest.

to all sifu out ther...! is it normal to go above 1.5vcpu..?

thank u...
