MGM's concern is that "someone mentioned maxispay transaction recorded as yesterday due to us-based CYBERSOURCE payment gateway?"

if u follow the discussion earlier, i already paid using maxispay this morning at 7am+. called PBB CS, verified the transaction captured as today's date 6-Feb, 7:11am.

now, MGM said "the payment page looked diff.", so my question was which part of the page is different as the payment automatically trigger PBB's OTP page. if you cc detail is stored in maxispay, there is no intermediate page for you to key-in.
update: i guess the page in question is the one below. this is assuming you are paying manually by entering cc detail.

Yeah that was the page, which I thought I never came across previously, sorry if I am wrong.

Btw, my test transaction for Shopee today was to Digi postpaid using seller Kuching1. Got 1% rebate and super professional and fast. Good communication and payment done within half an hour.

Am testing other sellers too.  One hasn't responded to me since Saturday... Which is worrying.
*
i tried 2 shopee transactions this morning at 9:05 am for TNB bill and 11:35am for Cukai Taksiran.. since both transaction won't entitled for the 1 million campaign if i paid through normal way (i.e. via UOB Payonline), so, no harm trying this via Shopee and both sellers come with Shopee Guarantee, if they failed to pay within the stipulated timeline, i still can ask for refund..

Will update here for the transaction captured once it posted.

P/s: how to check where is the seller location?

If discussions on Shopee are getting more frequent, maybe the discussions can be diverted to another thread because it is not PPB VS specific, something similar to shopback: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2843552&hl=

Hi all... i bought something from Malaysia online store and paid via PayPal.... bought around Monday, 2am in the morning so there is risk it will be counted as Sunday transaction even though the currency is in MYR and not USD?

it's not the currency matter, it's where the payment portal resides (timezone) vs local timezone.

since paypal resides in California, US..... your transaction is likely falls on Sunday.

In regards to PB... it's currency based rather than Portal (as the Paypal portal is based in Singapore, I believe)

OT: Paypal gateway depends on the business' country of origin during they registered with Paypal. All Malaysian businesses fall under Singapore. Oversea businesses fall under their respective country/region.

Anyhow cross border transaction often has mistake even within same time zone, I once charge a large sum on HKD, gateway same at HK and it was captured 1 day earlier. Nothing can be done.

To be 100% guarantee safe, charge at local merchant.

For those using UOBpayonline for your bill payment to take advantage of the 6% monthly + 5% weekly cashback promotion, please check your email notification if all your transactions were approved to avoid missing the 5% weekly cashback!

My personal experience: using UOB payonline to pay 2 celcom and 1 maxis bills at once after midmight last night, everything went as expected with 3 OTP (1 for each bill).  Wanted to pay Astro bill but system was down.  Tried to pay again early this morning at home but received unsuccessful payment message after enter OTP - 3 attempt and all failed.  Tried again to pay an hour later at office, similar issue encountered.  Checked UOBPayonline email notification and noticed that the 3rd transaction (for Maxis bill) was not approved.  Tried to pay through UOBPayonline and Maxis portal - all failed after entering the OTP.  Tried to pay other bills - all unsuccessful as well after entering OTP.

Called PBB customer service, CS mentioned my card was blocked due to too many transactions within a short period of time - asked for the definition of "too many transactions within a short period of time and if this is a new algorithm that PBB just implemented, CS said it was implemented since Nov'16 and is defined as 3 transactions within a minute.  Don't know if the CS is telling the truth or just to "entertain" my query but I don't believe what the CS said as I've been doing the same type of transaction (3 or more bill payments within a minute through UOBPayonline) for last few months.

So  - do check your email notification if your bill payment through UOBpayonline went through successfully to avoid missing the 5% weekly cashback.

Had the same experience when I try to pay 3 bills (Unifi, TNB and SYABAS) at one go using UOB PayOnline -- 3 OTPs received one after another. Everything seemed fine (I have not check my email yet at this point) so I proceed to pay Astro bill (via astro.com.my) but transaction was not successful, twice.

So I called up PBB VS CS and was told the card was blocked due to "too many transactions within a timeframe." Was told that the system will automatically block on the 3rd transaction when I was paying via UOB PayOnline (my SYABAS payment was not succesful). When I asked what is the timeframe, he couldn't answer me but instead advise to pay the bill one at a time. He proceeded to unblock the card and my next transaction was successful.

I did not have this problem when I was paying the same 3 bills last month. I guess have to forego the convenience of paying all the bills in one go for now.

if u ever read properly, there were 3 otp. but ppb blocked the 3rd payment to go thru because pbb detected multiple otp trigger in very short period of time.
